Well, new tokens these days, aren't all trusted. Most of these new tokens in the market are just copy coins of previously existing tokens. The market today is filled with so man new tokens which most of them are failed or abandoned project. So yes, it might be important to do proper research, when thinking about investing in new projects. Don't just invest because of the hype or a short increase in the price of the coin. Remember investment is risky so be careful otherwise, you might end up hodling a bag of worthless coins

Forum related / Re: What is the future for crypto forums?
« on: June 29, 2023, 08:28:28 PM »
Bitcoin talk for years now, has been one of the best cryptocurrency community and it's now only it's bounty's or campaigns that drives in new members, but also the continual activies of all members.

Having active forum members is one thing that can drive traffic to a website. And I noticed that here on altcointalk, we have less visitors and less traffic. On Google when you search for crypto currency communities, Bitcoin talk is always poping up, along side reddit, and some others but I haven't noticed altcointalk poping up.

Only we the members of Altcointalk can find it. The idea I'm trying to bring out here is that if we can get more paying campaigns and find a way to promote and upgrade our forum then. In no time I think that we would be having more visitors than usual

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you rely on Crypto Currencies?
« on: June 29, 2023, 08:20:09 PM »
Definitely, cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin will serves as a pillar to the financial aid in the future. Although it is still yet to become generally adopted by countries all over the world, cryptocurrencies is the new generation form of money. I  have been in the crypto space for like 3 years now, and I have found financial freedom in it. I won't actually say I rely total on cryptocurrency but i have been able to secure a future with crypto.

Regarding the specific reason you mentioned, I won't actually say It is the only cause of the sudden bear market. Although there are some elements of truth to them. On May 10th, Bitcoin did briefly surge above $28,000 before experiencing a sharp decline. The exact cause of this decline is unclear, but there was speculation at the time that it may have been due to news of the US government potentially selling a large amount of BTC. However, this news was later debunked as fake.

It is also true that Jump and Jane Street, two major market makers, announced their exit from the US crypto market due to regulatory uncertainty. This news likely had an impact on the market, as these firms play a significant role in providing liquidity to cryptocurrency exchanges.

Obviously, I will go for Bitcoin. Even with the current down trend of the market cap, most investors are still going to purchase more Bitcoin as we are all expecting the next bull run. Bitcoin has been the leading crypto currency for years now and with the current performance, we still can't predict what will happen in the nearest future. But we all hope that there would be a time when Bitcoin will once again out a smile on all our faces

Cryptocurrency Trading / Re: How Does Bitcoin Mining Work?
« on: April 24, 2023, 10:17:29 PM »
Mining of Bitcoin requires special hardware machine to carry out operations. The whole process involves solving of complex mathematical equations which then is rewarded with a particular amount of new coins. This whole process are broadcasted on the Blockchain for validation, increasing it's difficulty every time a new miner joins the network.

Bitcoin surprised traders with bearish sentiment with its today's pump. The world’s largest cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) has posed a solid 12% gain in the last few hours moving closer to $25,000 and hitting a new 6-month high. As of press time, BTC is trading 11.72% up at a price of $24,702 and a market cap of $476 billion.Bitcoin is leading all other altcoins in terms of percentage gains. On-chain data provider Santiment explains that we can expect whales and trading volumes to shift from altcoins to Bitcoin. So is this a dead cat bounce?

to me, it's very risky buying new coin.Trendy investments are especially ripe for fraudsters, so be aware there is a real risk of fraud. Scam artists prey upon the newness of an investment opportunity when there isn’t as much history about the product. It’s also easier to sell an investor on an “everyone is buying it” sales pitch when there’s a lot of buzz about a certain investment product. So my advice is you should first make research on the new coin, ask questions and be smart while making transactions to unknown investors

Bitcoin Forum / How do block chain confirmations work?
« on: February 13, 2023, 06:41:44 AM »
For a time now, I've been trying to learn more about the technical side of bitcoin, and I've heard that I can do so here. I so made the decision to ask here in the hopes of discovering a better explanation for some of the things I don't understand.

I discovered that a blockchain system consists of numerous nodes dispersed over the globe, each of which keeps, confirms, and updates its own copy of the ledger upon the creation of a new block of transactions.
I don't seem to comprehend how more blocks increase transaction security. And How do blockchain confirmations work?

Bitcoin Forum / Is there any useful place where OP_CODESEPARATOR is used?
« on: February 11, 2023, 05:17:15 AM »
I never could figure out where would OP_CODESEPARATOR be useful and some very old comments from early days suggest it may be a byproduct of a bad decision (eg. scripts were concatenated then executed at first).
While going through Taproot this OP code makes even less sense in Tapscripts and yet it is there. So I was wondering if I'm missing something and whether there is any good script examples I could look at where OP_CODESEPARATOR solves a problem that can't be solved in any other way.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Why I don't believe bitcoin can replace gold
« on: February 11, 2023, 05:05:55 AM »
All though I think BTC is primed to beat gold in the near future and become one of the top accepted digital currency globally, but it still cant replace the USD to lead the world markets.
Actually, the us dollar moves the entire markets such as gold, btc, stocks, etc. and governments wont let anything replace that. Market pumps and recession everything happens based on the USD.

The traditional banks have been in existence, for ages and most people are used to their local banks. Some people still haven't heard about cryptocurrency or crypto banks so possibility of this happen is a bit low, but in the future with the way technological innovations are improving👌 there's a 50% chance that the crypto banks will out run the local banks or maybe be work with them☑️
