CMC is JUNK and Anti Privacy!

Yeah the list is pretty different from this https://www.coingecko.com/en/categories/privacy-coins
It looks like CMC is no longer doing its due diligence correctly, and not sure if it's just me, CMC is slow nowadays compared to pre-Binance.

It's working very slow because it is full of advertisement.
That can easily be fixed with some adblocker extension or custom DNS, but we can't coins and exchanges that are listed.
Listing ICP coin crap as privacy coin with even checking is just to much for me to handle.

I've also switched to using CoinGecko instead of Coinmarketcap: it's faster and more user-friendly, while offering similar features.

I'm not sure why Coinmarketcap can make such ridiculous mistakes with its privacy coins list. This confusion could come from the tags themselves from the project team or community, and Coinmarketcap doesn't cross-check to edit them accordingly. You got me curious, so i did quick search. CMC have section called "Self-Reported Tags" which can be used by the representative of the coin/token/exchange[1]. While i didn't find information who can add tag on other tag section, it implies other tags are added by CMC itself.

CoinMarketCap is owned by Binance and I always knew they are not going to be honest, but look what they are doing now with privacy coins!
They made ICP or Internet Computer as number one privacy coin that has nothing to do with privacy at all, and it is ranked above Monero now.
Even worse, they added WLD Worldcoin ranked at fifth place and they literally scanned eyeballs of people around the world for this crap 
I am not sure if they are doing this on purpose or by mistake, but if you are still using CMC it's time to stop and switch to CoinGecko or some other alternative.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think this things are ranked based on their market capitalization,  that is, based on  the worth of their market cap, even cmc made this clear at the heading of the same you shared the link in your post.



So, when cmc decides to rank privacy coins based on their attained market cap, is it right to blame cmc for that?, I don't think it's right, I think they are doing their job at most, without any show of favorism or what ever, every coin is given their position based on their market cap, which I think is fair enough.

You can also add custom rules in your adblocker and manually remove any element that you don't want to see.
That is going to make it even more easier to use.

That's true, but very few people would bother do that when they know better website.

Or worse, falsely claim their cryptocurrency offer privacy while in fact it doesn't offer much or even invade our privacy.
