2024: The Year of ETF

As we know so many companies are willing to list BTC SPOT ETF, Black Rock meet with SEC twice in this month and other companies are also following him. All BTC lover, strong holder waiting for this day impatiently.



Final deadline of Ark 21shares(ARKB) will be on 10 January 2024 and then others companies final deadline is dated on march 2024. it's mean that we are almost 16 days away from ETF conclusion (most possibly chance of approval).

BTC is already perfect without ETF although this approval will gives opportunity to the ETF lover to invest in btc which somehow help in more adoption. What do you think about ETF, It's advantage or disadvantage? kindly share your thoughts

Advantage: increases the legality of Bitcoin in the eyes of the public.

Disadvantage: Huge Bitcoin might be controlled by few firms.
It might shift people attention towards their derivatives rather than holding Bitcoin itself. etc

It will be a big boost for Bitcoin price if the ETF proposals will be approved. But if it is not approved or delayed, it may bring bad impact to Bitcoin price. Honestly, I am a bit worried that the ETF proposal won't be approved as expected (in January 10, 2024). I don't want to see that many new investors will feel disappointed and they won't continue their investment in crypto anymore. However, I am trying to believe that 2024 will be really the time for the year of ETF approval.

Of course, this is a big advantage to Bitcoin and to those already in the game. When we have more adoption, then there is possibility of seeing price increase. I think this whole process is taking too long, and would make sense if the approval is done once. Aside the ETF, I think 2024 might even be more interesting than 2023, but it is best to witness the approval soon.

ETF is highly speculative IMO, so 2024 is more of the year of halving and BRC-20 (Ordinals)...
For sure 2024 is a good year for BTC, and even better if the ETF is approved. But the government seems to always deny Crypto ETF before we can solve the money laundering and market manipulation problem.

More than "etf lovers", it will give possibilities for Institutional investors to go in bitcoin.

Some Institutions still have limitations due to regulatory requirements and can't buy bitcoin directly,  but they could buy an etf.

I think huge amounts of bircoin are already controlled by great players such as exchanges and miners.

I hope it won't be a problem, and bitcoin will continue to be wild and decentralized

My opinion is different than yours. I don't think if ETF is not approved or delayed it'll do any impact on Bitcoin's price. neither it'll disappoint the investors, I don't think anyone would stop trusting on Bitcoin just because of ETF.
Bitcoin have been here for around 15 years without ETF bullshit and has been constantly growing in number of adoption and investors. just wait and see.

You think BRC20 craze will continue in 2024? they are already causing a lot of chaos in Bitcoin network (high transactions fee are because of these BRC20). On the other hand halving is one thing I am looking forward to the most.
I think Govt is intentionally trying to delay ETF and I don't think their actually motive is to solve money laundering and market manipulation problem. they just hate bitcoin because if bitcoin gets more adoption they'll loose control over people's money.

Yeah, I think BRC20 hype is still present in 2024 (NFA, DYOR) since there are still lots of people who don't know about it. Take a look at Binance, it only lists ORDI and SATS, just recently. I think many will come in 2024. The risk is that if BTC decides to fork to disable ordinals then BRC20 market will rekt.

ETF is still a speculation while the ordinals are already here and working.

Thought Bitcoin ETF is believeed to boost the price of Bitcoin and the altcoins market, I also think that Bitcoin Halvimg will much more being about prices increases this Year,2024. However, as ETFs become more popular among investors, we can expect them to have an effect on the crypto market. I don't know if if we can call it as a disadvantage, bitcoin might hard to get though, as everyone will be fighting for every sats that is available, and with the halving coming in, difficult will increased.

And I think it wll be more advantageous for us, average joe bitcoin holder. I mean we are ahead of the game and we have a lot of time to stack sats till the approval and the subsequent pouring of institutional money in the market. It's just a matter on when we are going to sell our stack to this company.

I'm not sure that the ETF approval will push Bitcoin to ATH, especially since the halving hasn't happened yet, this doesn't reflect the previous cycle, although you can say anything can happen.

At least the approval of the ETF will encourage more investors to enter because several large institutions have made large purchases like microstrategy which always buys in millions of dollars, another thing is that bitcoin has now become widespread among other investors but the adoption of payments is still very minimal, maybe this is need more time but I believe bitcoin can change the world economy.

Currently, many governments have started to pay attention to bitcoin, even with their virtual money CBCD with blockchain technology that the government is currently developing.

Bitcoin ETF is becoming more talked about than the halving LOL. Its just a couple of days away and any decision would definitely have a huge effect in the market. Rejection or postponement would cause a dip while approval would create a 2 year high. Beating the ATH would require around 40% that's alot. I can see it crossing the $50K threshold or even hitting the $60's but creating a new ATH would be harder since people will start selling the news.
