The Altcoinstalks forum was inaccessible for several minutes, was this a DDOS at

I didn't actually witness the forum down time, but coming to this board I saw many complaints about it. Since I didn't witness it, I cannot actually say if it's an attack or not. But I can just say that we should be expecting things of that nature from henceforth because the traffic in the forum is increasing everyday. So, the forum will go offline sometimes just like Bitcointalk when the developers are fixing things from the backend.

Some days now, I'm not sure if I'm the only user experiencing this from my end. Before the forum went off some days ago perhaps for upgrade, I find it difficult to access the forum with my normal network or is it my internet protocol that is having this problem? However, when I on my VPN and connect to another route, the site will open instantly and very fast but my local network doesn't.

It also don't connect to my network but when I use th same local network from a wifi, it goes and sometimes it doesn't but right now, it seems okay because I'm using my device network and it's working fine now. Couple admin tell us when or after they are done with upgrade to know what's happening.

This is mostly likely caused by your internet service provider - there are days when I'll try accessing some sites and I'll be slammed with “error” messages but as soon as I connect to a different network and retry that same site it will load instantly but if I return back to the previous one and refresh the page I'll still be welcomed with the same error unless I keep using that external network I connected to.

Since I didn't witness it, I cannot actually say if it's an attack or not.

The admin has already informed us that he was the one working on the site before things got complicated leading to that long downtime the forum members experienced.

Can anyone tell me why I bumped into this sometimes when I tried to open a link in the Forum? Or is this a measure to slow down DDOS attack on the forum?
 
I think the admin need to use cloudfare bots when the forum recognize a new IP address or when a certain person changes IP address. I'm not sure if it's the forum that integrate this but I quite see this on some forums and they put that measure because of the same Ddos attack coming from another person and if it's the server that is the problem, let's as a community do something about it.
