Is money the real root of all evil?

I do not think so, it’s like saying we don’t need money, but money sustains life. It will always depend on how you used your money. There are many meaningful things you can used money; e.g., build hospitals, feed the homeless, build schools, fund to teach people, charity works, help technology, supporting the government on enhancing its citizens way of living, and other many things you can do with money that is worthwhile. I have read about “the love of money”, it talks about every behavior of an individual not money itself that is the source of all different types of evil and distress. Money is ethically neutral; I believe there is naught wrong with money or the ownership of wealth. But, once money starts to control a person that is when the trouble began. People being controlled by money will feel superior and takes pride for power which leads to greediness and obsessions of an individual. He or She will enjoy the luxury of life, they will use their money to dictate and control other people for his or her will. Money is a necessity that is why people do fraud, insult, kill, and do bad things to have it. Hence, it is not “the money” but “the love of it” is the root of all evil.

I think not the money is the root of evil, its the behavior or attitude of a person because most of the time jealous is one of the root of all evil.

I think money is not the source of evil, it's the attitude of person who makes him evil if a person really loves his/her fellow citizen there's no way to make evil things.

For me money is one of them in provoking crime. Especially this in the Crypto world. It must be the goal of everyone here to get as much money as possible. There are even people who do not care about the loss of others, who do anything to get money, including cheating. I think it's a crime that is very painful for me and everyone here. money is just a tool that can be used to transact without being able to choose the owner. in my opinion, the root of evil is the owner of money. because money cannot choose what to use and who will use it.
I disagree if money is said to be the basis of crime.

    You are right. WE need money for our needs to lived this world as a human being. In the other side it is true that money can be root of all evil but it depend on how people use it. If the people control the money it will be good and always use in a right things but if money control the people then it is bad because it may lead people to do bad things through this money and become the root of all evil plan. Money is very useful but always don't let money control your life instead be responsible to control it.

I think humans are the root of all evil... money is just a status symbol that humans create to separate themselves from others.. the biggest problem with society is people just inherently do not work together.. and often don't care about those around them or at least their immediate personal circle.   Take away money and people will find another status symbol.. its a never-ending problem because the root is the source.

I was just to write this! I can totally agree. As Martin Luther King said - "Now that we have learned to fly the air like birds, swim under water like fish, we lack one thing—to learn to live on earth as human beings". When it comes to animals, we can learn from them how to care of each other. Money can be the root of a lot of good, but only if we will be good.

So true. Money is the root of all evil, Money is the mastermind behind crime anywhere including the Crypto World. Many criminals, burglars and hackers commit their crimes to users to get their coins by cheating, blocking accounts and others. It's all very painful, hopefully no one here is affected by the crime above.
