Yes I think It will happen. Ethereum will be replace bitcoin at the coming year. Ethereum has potential to do it. Etheruem is smart contract and many tokens used it.

It could be that Ethereum can beat Bitcoin easily. Provided Ethereum can be consistent and can stabilize good prices on the market. While Bitcoin is currently the price is still unstable and tends to worsen every week. This is for me to create opportunities for ETH to be able to surpass Bitcoin now.

bitcoin remains the top and will still dominate the existing altcoins. ether is only an altcoin that appears after bitcoin. I don't think it's possible to go beyond bitcoin, which has already been popular and many users.
