Choosing which Airdrops to do
« on: March 02, 2018, 01:30:24 PM »
There just seems to be an overwhelming number of available airdrops.  Do people just do as many as they can or is there a way to tell which are the best?

Try visiting their website, read their whitepaper, road map look who are team behind the project. It would surely take time to do those and to research but atleast you can be sure which airdrop is serious and which is not.

I've been to hundreds of airdrops and there's really no telling which ones are the best.
Just have a quick read about the project

I have some few guides in spotting fake ones.
Try to avoid those without websites and ANN.
Be cautious also with newly created twitter accounts (most are just trying to gain new followers).
You would also encounter airdrops that require you to join telegram (I recommend you to avoid telegram channels only, No chatroom)
And as always, avoid those that require "donations"

Thanks, that all makes sense.

I avoid ones that mimic others names.. like Neo Gold.. Ethereum White.. Bitcoin Purple.. Litecoin Cash Gold Plus.. you get the idea.. the only one of these that actually seems worth a damn is Ethereum Blue and thats not THAT big of a miss even then... should atleast help you trim some of the fat... also avoid airdrops for things that don't have a whitepaper.. or want you to pay "gas" to send coins.. if a company can't afford gas transactions for airdrops they don't deserve your business.

hm, if there's a good quality website and roadmap, twitter account and fb page, whitepaper and has bitcointalk account then its good, I get tired of filling up forms and don't know which is the legit one,

Mainly avoid airdrops that asks for your private keys. It is scam - for obvious reason. And also the ones which require a small donation. Most of the time they turn out to be scam too. Also if you have more time on your hand go to their website/twitter etc and check whether those are genuine too. But I rarely do that as time is limited to me

Thank you very much for the advice, a friend of mine actually got fooled in to buying fake crypto currency.
It started out with her doing "fake" translations for the company and ended with her buying the companies fake crypto currency in name of the company with her own money.
Sure she is very gullible but still these frauds can be very sneaky, they had a website and everything...
the website was taken from a bankrupt company, further details my friend unfortunately did not share.

I have been participating in virtually every Airdrop around and with so many scams and crappy Airdrops, I decided to make a Telegram channel with only High Potential and Easy to complete ones that are directly deposited into your ETH wallet

Feel free to check them out.

I find it difficult to assess an airdrop with so many promotions all over the place. I would like to find a place that lists only airdrop that are easy to get on to. Not those that take an hour to do all the tasks. Also I would like to see every airdrop announce if they will need KYC BEFORE the airdrop not later in your mail.
