General Discussion / Re: Do you think the earth is flat?
« on: May 25, 2024, 10:00:56 PM »Indeed, although sometimes one can actually be forced and compelled by certain things to want to argue that fact,From high school curriculum, geography tells us that the earth isn't flat but spherical ( shape of am egg) and the difference in time zones and the rotation of the earth around its orbit proves this.
If the earth was flat, then the whole world would experience daylight and night at the same time and the the whole world would be using the same time zone.
We all know that the earth rotates, it was flat, the whole world would get the same reaction whenever the rotation occurs.
That's what they taught us at school that the earth is spherical in shape and that is also the shape that astronauts see from up above so there is no need to argue that the earth is flat hehe.
I mean someone would wanna ask how possible it is that the earth rotates around its orbit while we're inside the earth and we can't even feel the rotation and there's not even a sign of displacement during this rotation.
Care to explain how possible that is? And don't you ever wonder the possibilities? Don't you ever feel like asking or arguing it sometimes?
lol that also is a good point. while we are all shaken when a 4.5 magnitude of earth quake can already make us scramble under the tables. yet the movement of earth rotating around the sun isn't something we feel.
if you just think about Pangea and down to our current geography today. continents are just moving as if stirred group of water lilies on the pond.
