To be honest, I don't think that position on coinmarketcap indicates the position of cryptocurrency very well. Bitcoin is huge, due to it's popularity, and i don't think that ethereum will ever overcome this popularity of bitcoin, even if ETH will become the biggest player in the game, bitcoin will still have the strongest position on the market for me. Future of altcoins is very shady i guess, many projects have fallen during the bear of 2018, and 2019 doesn't give me hope for something better. I love seeking new projects which are based on Ethereum, or smart contracts, but the recently I've found CryptoGamble, and as a gambling fan it's quite a thing for me - the mix of gambling and cryptocurrencies. I can see that there are thousands of cryptoprojects, but CG i trust the most.

You have to remember that cryptocurrency are not a way to earn quick money. Investment is a way to support idea behind cryptocurrencies, and more supporters lead to global adoption. Which is already slowly happening, because Bitcoin is currently more present in many ways of our lives. Other crypto too, for example few weeks ago FuturoCoin has become first cryptocurrency sponsoring F1 racing team: https://newsroom.futurocoin.com/lets-start-the-season/
As for the current situation on market, Bitcoin currently appears to grow, and altcoin will probably follow it.

That sponsorship deal was very surprising to me couple weeks ago, and since them I'm getting more interest in FuturoCoin. There are some rumors that they are planning a fork soon, but there is no official info yet.

When we talk about investments - yes, but when we talk about technology - definitely not. There are plenty of cryptocurrency companies that are trying to stay in a close relations with their users, you can say they are trying to be user-friendly, like Dash, or  altcoin that i've found recently - FuturoCoin, which code is an extended version of Dash's code. There is always a risk though.

I also think that popularity of coin is very important for it's value. What FuturoCoin did in recent months is absolutely stunning, they've also entered another exchange (more info here). I've also heard that they are preparing fork soon. Well, it's a truly worth watching project, aside from Bitcoin and other altcoins like Ethereum, Monero or Stellar for me. All of them are long term projects, that are going to be the fundament of the future financial system, when cryptocurrencies displace regular money.

36

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do you buy only top 100 coins?
« on: March 21, 2019, 06:12:44 PM »
Top 100 is a quite big number. I think that every cryptocurrency is worth of interest, everyone could be potential success. So we shouldn't limit to only the top ones. you should do your research an choose the best suitable for you. For example, I’m investing in FuturoCoin because of its aim to make cryptocurrencies more popular around the world, like with their partnership with Formule 1: https://newsroom.futurocoin.com/lets-start-the-season/

Yeah, i've heard some news about FTO in the 2018, it seems like everything is fine with them right now. I think i've seen some news about a fork they are ready for? Is it true?

39
Who knows about it, I think we cannot say it never be. Everything is possible as long as there is a chance, even the chance is only 1%. Crypto still has a chance to be accepted as a global digital currency. You must know that Bitcoin has a chance for world digital currency in the future.

I really can't see it coming. I think that the idea of bitcoin was "not become the world digital currency". I think bitcoin can be used as a global currency - for example BTC has got it's own ATMs and many people are accepting bitcoin as a mean of payment but it is happening to altcoins too, like for example FTO got it's own ATMs in their restaurants in Europe (info taken from here). But there is more potential in that technology, let the bounds of blockchain be established in the future, not now.

40
Absolutely not. It's something different, it can be used as a mean of payment, but i can't see a printed sign of bitcoin on a bank note to be honest. Bitcoin is right now treated almost as normal mean of payment. There are plenty of altcoins that are trying to get closer to it's users, like Ethereum for example which is going to be even greater cryptocurrency i think. Constantly future-minded, people whose minds are full of new ideas are the ones who stand behind the revolutions in. Even right now we've got many, many platforms like those with video poker games or smart contracts.

You probably mean CoinDeal, they have a one commercial made with Premiere League team
As for FuturoCoin fork, I also saw some news on reddit about it, but no official statement too

Yeah it was Wolverhampton, i've already check this out. Well i thought that it was serious stuff with this fork, I hope that developers in FTO Team are going to introduce some new features.

Still, the bear market gave us a chance to get some new altcoins, due to their price. Time will tell.

42
Also, I don't think that Bear market will last for long. The situation should change in any time

43
Hey, I've heard a lot about Korea's ideas creating bridges between cryptocurrency world and users. That is a very good news for anyone who use crypto in Korea, but also to the whole world. Those ideas are being quickly introduced and that's the thing we could take an example from. I've seen some cryptocurrencies like FuturoCoin being available on Kakao. Many people from asia is using this app, so it's a great way to seek for new opportunities to get along with users.

44
Agree. Now is the time when we have to make crypto more known for the rest of the world if we want this idea to survive. Hopefully, there are more and more crypto which are gaining public attention (like, for example, FuturoCoin and its partnership with Formule One team, first in history of cryptocurrencies: https://newsroom.futurocoin.com/lets-start-the-season/) so crypto should soon be familiar for people who don’t hear about it before

Yeah, I've heard a while ago about that sponsorship deal. I remember that some soccer team from England also signed a similiar deal with some exchange market, but i can't remember which one, nevermind though. I've been following FTO for a while now, and recently i got some news that they are planning a fork soon. Maybe do you have more info about this, cause i can't find any official info yet?

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Gradually, crypto is spreading
« on: March 18, 2019, 06:50:54 PM »
Crypto popularity will be growing, because more and more cryptocurrencies are getting involved in promotions and sponsorships (like the case of FuturoCoin, fist official sponsor of Formule One racing: https://newsroom.futurocoin.com/lets-start-the-season/ )
If cryptocurrencies will be more present in the popular culture than they will be more recognizable for the society.

Well it's true, recently i've read some news about an upcoming hollywood movie called "Crypto", but it seems fake to me. There is no page of the movie in any movie database, there is no official info. Still, i think such movie will be created soon, and it's a remarkable thing for cryptocommunity. Years ago, i was thinking that cryptocurrencies are going to be a niche for a long, long time, but right now it seems normal. It's just the way it is, it's like the internet in the 90's. Such sponsorship deals, like this one you've mentioned between F1 Red Bull Racing and FuturoCoin is a huge step forward to get more interest in our society, when it comes to subjects as technology, blockchain or cryptocurrencies. BTW: I've heard some stuff about FTO planning a fork soon, but i couldn't find any official info anywhere.
