Native (original) forum members VS. Teleported members

I came across a bit of drama on a bounty thread.

This post is to clarify some points.

Teleported members are considered like native members, No more, No less. No discussion.

What about ranking up ?
- Native users rank up following our ranking process.
- Teleported users rank up following update in rank in btt or local rank up

You would say, But it is unfair, they can rank faster locally by being teleported.
No, not true. Ranking on btt and on altt are not solely connected to post count, there are many factors that are considered in the equations.
Thus, to rank up here, if they are teleported, they need to fill all the conditions they missed. Yes it is still easier than btt for some ranks, but it is fair for everyone.

Bounty managers have full freedom to accept whomever they want, usually they look at rank not at teleported or not, but they are free to do whatever they want, mix it up, or not, it is up to the bounty manager to decide. Questioning the decision is not advised. But being aggressive towards the bounty manager is not accepted.

In short, write quality content, create quality topics, give quality answers (instead of useless chit-chat), and you'll see that the bounty managers would accept you with no hesitation.

Something like this is inevitable where a distinction exists
But with time everybody will blend and realized we all members of same platform.
I guess the bounty manager was trying to work with something they have information on
I believe by next year this distinction would be neglected.

I understand that it may bother old users of this forum to see their chances of being hired by the manager reduced, but the rules dictated by the manager must be respected, as we should all respect each other. Being here for longer does not give a right of privilege, being a teleporter does not give a right of privilege, we should understand this well

It was a position of some separate users. Most old-timers of the forum I talked to and moderators of the forum are glad to welcome new users!

I've seen this drama, and as far as I understand, the problem is in signature campaigns and the majority acceptance of teleported members. Not to go into the method of how managers select participants for campaigns, but obviously, some of the native members of this forum do not understand the principle of signature campaigns.

So, it's not any kind of gift money, but strategic promotion of a specific brand. Every campaign owner (company or brand) wants maximum visibility, and this is achieved through better quality posts and more frequented categories. Until recently, there were over 30 campaigns at BTT, with perhaps more than 1,000 participants, and there, a certain culture and certain manners of behaviour were created within them.
I will mention only one example, burstposting. Members from BTT already know very well about it and there are very few who do it. And here, right now, I am looking at two obvious such cases, unfortunately, both are native members of this forum

user therozaq checking his history, he left posts every few minutes, which is almost impossible to do if the posts are dedicated and constructive.
I'm going to quote one of his bursts of posts where he almost filled the weekly quota in an hour. At the same time, he often quoted and replied to posts that were 3 or 4 years old. I will be quite surprised if he stays in the campaign next week as well

Another similar case is a member sampoerna I will not cut his posts because this is already too long, but a very similar model of behaviour.

This is not my accusation against all members, but I noticed these two users today because there were only their posts everywhere.

So my message to the old native members of the Altt forum is, don't be upset that teleported members are taking your place in the campaign, but try to be more valuable.
The new rule on BTT brought several campaigns here. There were 8 of them there (if I remember correctly) and I believe that at least 5 will come here, if not all 8. There will still be new slots in the campaigns and opportunities for everyone, and yet, in return, these campaigns should be reciprocated with quality, and they justify the funds invested in this promotion.

I think that as many bounty managers are also teleported as well, they are also used to other with other teleported members. And some of us are good posters and we know each other for years.

A small group of the bitcointalk community arrived here when mixers were banned.

I think this is good for everyone.  I have some expectations in this forum, I think it will grow now.

Finally, the drama between the native and teleported users will stop. I mean, not all native users, but those users who think that the teleported accounts should give way. At the end of the day, it's still all up to the bounty managers how they decide whom they choose to be part of their campaigns.

I like your words. If we knew how to respect each other we would respect each other, we only know how to argue among ourselves, let's respect each other then this forum deserves respect.

Yeah, I don't think there's anything worse than asking a manager to justify himself regarding his decisions... He'll always be in control of his own campaign, so there's no point to ask imo.

I don't understand why this drama happened, someone who posts quality stuff also has a chance of being taken on (I mean, even if not teleported). It's normal that, at the start, when we "migrate", managers want to take on successful elements from their past campaigns, but you could also say the opposite and that they could take advantage of this to replace those who don't post quality content. So someone not "teleported" posting good quality messages has his chances to replace a teleported "low/medium" quality poster in a campaign.

The sig campaigns are a privilege, not a right, and in theory it shouldn't be more than a hobby. And as in everything, quality comes first, as you've all rightly said...

You're seeing this from the manager/campaign owner's perspective, not the members' perspective. IMO, it is understandable that some users feel terrible since they feel like they lost an opportunity to participate, but that's no excuse to ignore any reason given by the manager. I remember how it felt when BTT introduced the merit system, lots of members quit because they felt like it was impossible to rank up, but in the end, it improved the forum quality to some extent. I guess that's how some people felt too.

At the end of the day, it is a matter of different interests. I do think they will likely get the opportunity to join some campaign shortly considering mixers are likely moving to this forum to advertise. Who knows, maybe the pay rate and traffic will also increase later on.
