Alright guys, One question already answered.

For Legendary rank - you will need 1,200 post count. For the other parameters, only admin can shed light to that. 


My guess for other ranks:
Hero - atleast 700 posts
Sr. Member - atleast 200 posts

objective for legend is around 2 000 , but i will be increasing that slowly over a couple month at least
Hero should be around 1000, but also will increase slowly
Sr. is around 300
Jnr around 40

I'm afraid to ask what are the conditions for achievement a Mythical rank ... or in order to keep it ...

We actually do not mind for the new rules as long as it is not an extreme change. But I think legend from 1000 to 2000 and Hero from 500 to 1000, is too significant change. I assume what Zion03 said will be more acceptable to all..

On the other hand, altcoinstalks forum is a young forum, few months ago we have celebrated its birthday, but it has too many users with hero and legend rank. I agree that at least for hero rank and above we need time restriction.

I guess this means that we must continue to be active in the forum even if we reached legendary rank if we do not want to be demoted. With the restriction of minimum characters already removed, I think getting to 2,000 over a period of time won't be that difficult. 

I hope the implementation of the future changes will be announced sooner (at least 1 week before) and that the requirement for the Mystical rank will not change.

Relax. This is for the betterment of the forum. I believe these changes will bring in more trust into the forum. We may even become at par with Bitcointalk in terms of number of bounty campaigns.

that is the objective

as long as the ranking up is easy bounties will avoid us, why ? logic ... because they do not want to be cheated !
if it is easy to create 4-10 accounts and rank them to senior then you will be effectively cheating the bounties,
that's why ranking up should be harder.

there are more than a 100 crypto forums,
only bitcointalk had activity based rank, thus being the only one hard to rank in,
all other forums were ignored by bounties due to different factors , but ease of ranking up is one of these factors.

we are making the forum harder to cheat bounties, but at the same time now they have no reason to offer our members smaller bounty rewards.
since i implemented the new rank, we are at par with bitcointalk ranking value wise.
with the exception of the merit system which we will not implement but have karma replace it in certain ranks.

Rank will drop if you do not have the required post count for new rank
if you have the required new post count you can escape the new factors
if not you will have to fullfill the other requirements to rank up

What kind of requirement is this? Its far more worse than BitcoinTalk. Unless BitcoinTalk retain the users previous rank while AltscoinTalk demoted What kind of practises is this Im sure it will be a huge blow. to AltcoinsTalk subcription  its not good.

Thanks for this. Atleast we now have a clearer idea on the new rules.

What do these mean for these words?

It means the change will be gradual.
Right now, what is clear is that you need 1,200 posts to rank up to Legendary according to Zion03.
Admin said the target for Legendary is 2,000 posts so expect the current 1,200 to increase again in a few months.
I assume that the next increase is 300 posts (total 1500 for legendary) and will be applied in 3 months time.
Then another change after that, until it reaches 2000 posts.
I believe all these changes will happen within the year.

we are now using same requirements as btt , except we do not require merit, karma is only used for higher ranks, and as a stopper if negative. 
i didn't demote users, i increased the post requirements as a results, the users that did not have the new post count got demoted

I would like to ask you to try to rank up on bitcointalk, it's not possible, their system made it impossible to rank up to any member,  due to merit, we don't have this, here it is still similar to old btt ranking.

means will increase the requirement slowly till it reaches the objective
if objective is 2000
and now it's 1200, then in a month it would be 1400, the next month 1600 the one after 1800 then finally 2000
or something like that
