Title: Taking some time out from trading
Post by: cryptothief on June 13, 2018, 08:54:40 AM
This year has been a roller coaster ride so far, and mostly downhill. I have been trading less and less, not experienced enough to make money in these kind of bear conditions. Still trying to pick up some bargains here and there, but looking at longer term holds instead of quick turn overs. Once the market stabilises for an extended period of time, then I will get back to more regular trading. Hoping by September we will see a steady upward trend, before some real gains next year. Till then, it's a waiting game.

Good judgment! I think the bearish market would end up soon and bull market will follow. September would be a profitable month. usually at the end of the quarter, investors would come-in to invest in cryptocurrency thus making the price to skyrocketed.

If you're still trying to make it work, try looking into a laddering technique for buying into positions.  I assume your concern if trading right now is buying things and having them continue to drop in price, if that is the case laddering will work wonders for you.  The idea is to buy smaller positions over a longer period of time, saving money for when the price drops more.  Every time it drops another 5-10%, buy another stack of relative size.  When you do this you average out your costs so that you need a significantly lower price to see profit on.  If you still decide to leave the market, no worries either way.  It's a stressful space and it's really important to remain as unemotional as possible when trading.  Take care <3

I like your strategy but the problem is that I don't have funds to buy anymore. In the mean time, what I did is that I cut loss and then when the market is making signs of being bullish, I would buy back again. I realized the importance of cut loss because when I didn't cut loss before, my coin lost more than half of its value that's why I just immediately cut loss when it reach a certain percentage loss and then buy back lower.

If you do plan to buy back in I would always pay attention to the markets still.  Everything is down but it can start rising again in an instant.

We can expect growth for a long time. Not until September, and even year for example. There are no factors for growth on the horizon. It's happened before. You just have to watch.

Yeah I feel that we need to take some vacation while the market is not performing towards our sides and this is the best time to buy and hold until the market recovers. I hope that we can see some good market before year end.

I do like the dollar averaging approach, and will definitely make a few purchases over the next few months to bring my break even points a little closer. Have been tempted a few times over the last couple of months, but so far have resisted jumping back in. Getting towards the end of summer now though, and hoping we'll see a semi recovery before the end of the year. Either way, I'm not overly fussed, I'm in for the long haul anyway. Cheers for the positive feedback  :)

Yes for now I myself take leave from the world of trade in the Bitcoin market. because it's so bad to trade at this time. I want to see the trade until the end of 2019.

Its been months since I have taken a break from trading. Ever since bitcoin prices fall below 10k, I did not have enough trades to recover my losses. I am hodling right now and waiting for some of my coins to recover their price.

Yes, for small investors like me, it is very sad when the market price falls, so far I have not traded because my capital is stuck at the price above. just like you. I only focus on finding BOUNTY  for now.

In autumn, as you know, bears fall asleep and bulls begin to act.Let's see how the market will behave this fall.Perhaps the trend will finally change to a growing one.

if today's market frightens and there is no wish to lose money, then it is better to go to bitcoin for some time. When the market shows stable growth, it is possible over again to start trading

trading requires certain skills. For a beginner, you can buy and watch how the price changes. It is necessary to come from small money.

Good strategy. I am doing the same thing. Minimal trading and just waiting for the fourth quarter.

You forgot to specify-till September of what year ?....now it is difficult to plan anything.I expect the market to recover from the spring of next year.

Haha, yeah. Unfortunately I was hoping we'd already be seeing some signs of recovery, but with only 2 weeks of the month left, I'm not sure we will. To be honest, I'm still happy watching from afar, but will jump back in if I feel the time is right, just don't think now is it. Spring next year sounds good to me, I'll be ready and waiting.

At least this is a more truthful forecast. Now we see a long lateral movement and obvious manipulation.Someone very persistently does not want to see the growth of the crypto currency.

Everyone has lost money during the bear market. And what you expect happens, because this month all the coins seem to be eager to recover. This is very fun because almost all coins rise slowly from day to day.

Coins have long wanted to recover and if you look at the altcoins-they played a little bit of their fall. But the growth is unconvincing and it is very difficult to say with certainty that the bullish market began. You can see only one thing-the bears are exhausted !

Still taking a back seat, was hoping that we would see a recovery sooner, but at least there seems to be coins making sporadic moves upwards, even if the market overall is not really showing any consistent signs of turning. I'm personally not getting involved, but I know plenty of people who have started making decent money again. Looks like we're going to be riding it out till the end of the year, but I'll be ready and waiting this time.
