I think TRX and ETH are two different platforms. TRX is the gaming platform and we put ETH next to Bitcoin.  So I think these two coins are much better.

TRX is not much of a gaming platform, there are a few games, but it is far from fully developed. Lots of staking is happening now, and DeFi, as an example Just Swap on the TRON Link Wallet is UniSwap from the Unicorn Token Project.

So anyone can clone Uniswap, or Justswap, or any DeFi platform. Yearn Finance was cloned to create various ETH DeFi dApp.

You can copy any ERC20 Token into a TRC20 contract.

Etherium's current condition is much better.  Its price is above 600 dollar.  Looking at the popularity, it can be seen that the next place of Bitcoin is Etherium.  Otherwise we see that the TRON preposition is but much better.  There is a possibility of getting better in the future.

Although TRX is very popular coins for its cheap transaction fees, huge potential future, voting rewards in wallet, supporting Dapps and for other facilities, it can't be compared with Ethereum-the king of altcoins. Ethereum is more popular, more demanded coin, and most popular for either trade or hold. TRX can be compared with other altcoins like XLM, XTZ, XRP, ADA etc but not with ETH.

I have been closely following both cryptocurrencies for a long time and have not seen anything serious from TRX developers that would help TRX at least catch up Ethereum, but Ethereum developers are constantly delighting with new opportunities and the release of Ethereum 2.0 once again confirms this and I don't think that in the future TRX will be able to get closer to Ethereum at all.
