I saw him say on a TV programme that nobody buys gold as an investment any more, that bitcoin is the current trend. I understand that he shares the view that bitcoin is like enhanced digital gold.

I agree with what he says. For me the demand for bitcoin will continue to grow in the coming years and at the same time, the supply of new bitcoins will continue to decrease with the halvings. The long-term result is an increase in the purchasing power of bitcoin holders.
