I may be wrong, but I will repeat that according to the experiences from the BTT forum, not very many members use Tor - and on this forum I did not find that Tor was mentioned in any context, except for some problems with signatures that did not/still do not show up correctly. What is the
"problem" with Tor is the speed of page loading, given that the traffic is redirected through several servers. Many people don't like that, so if they are already looking for privacy, they prefer to use a VPN.
The level of protection on Tor and VPN is of course far in favor of the former, but one should be honest and say that neither of them ensures absolute anonymity and that it is possible to reveal the real IP address if someone really wants to, regardless of what someone uses.
