No doubt that you can choose the top 10 coin .Specially you can buy btc and eth it can give you a huge amount of return for long period .You said your amount is not  enough that's why i am not suggesting  you for short time trade .You need to have huge amount if you wanna trade and get profit for short term .

First you have to know some of the risks of investing in crypto, then you need a lot of experience because there are some altcoins from new projects that have an anonymous team and make sure you don't buy dead coins.
