Dogecoin Forum / Re: doge coin is a very
« Last post by enwi on Today at 11:44:21 AM »
Bitcoin is the King of crypto currency, and bitcoin lovers still waiting butcoin will be adopted by many companies and also the government will allow. I don't think dogecoin will be more competitive, because It's just meme coins, although dogecoin has been used for payment, but not popular such as bitcoin.
Until now, Bitcoin cannot be avoided as the king of crypto, because all coins are affected by what Bitcoin does and can rarely move independently. It is indeed not easy to adopt Bitcoin to be accepted in companies because of the nature of Bitcoin itself, so you have to really understand it to be able to accept Bitcoin in companies, but many governments can accept it. Even though it's a meme coin, Doge is also good, but to compare it is clearly not apples to apples. It is very difficult to compare. I think, because the value is too low, doge is difficult to accept as a means of payment for companies.
Agree, but when we discuss bitcoin and altcoins then the altcoin price movement should depend on the development of the project they have. If the product they develop then this altcoin will have the potential to no longer follow bitcoin price movements. Meme coins such as Doge, Shiba and Pepe of course still follow bitcoin price movements because so far they have not developed any products.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Basic Concepts Of Bitcoin Mixers
« Last post by examplens on Today at 11:41:51 AM »
But with how Bitcoin community/devs value backward compatibility, it'll be optional privacy feature and those who use it obtain less privacy due to small amount of Bitcoiner who use it.
I don't think so.
There are a lot of people who are always interested in privacy for Bitcoin, they are just not so much advertised in news and social media.

It is quite logical that those who want more anonymity do not want to expose themselves in public.

Yeah, i'm aware of Snowden's report. But IMO /dev/urandom (on popular Linux or BSD based OS) is secure enough for most people and it uses various input (CPU is just one of the input source) to generate random binary.
Not really, unless they are using additional encryption, open source bios, and if your computer is offline and not connected to the internet.
Almost everything should be considered compromised now, especially modern smartphones with stock android and iOS operating systems.
Most people are not targets yet, but I think they will become soon, maybe in next 5 to 6 years.

Smartphones are really compromised, just like windows and Mac computers.

There is so much stuff installed in those devices that it is almost impossible to have security and privacy.

But I think it is possible to create secure environments inside those devices, using stuff such as a hardware wallet.

But, in my opinion, yes, It turns out it's still faster when I was not using VPN. Does that mean there is an influence, right?
VPN is always slower, you have an extra node in your connection. It is especially expressed if you use one of the free VPNs, they are often limited.

Nigerian Languages / Re: When Binance returns, will you return back?
« Last post by enwi on Today at 11:35:13 AM »
Binance is a big exchange, regardless say the failed to fight for their Nigerian customers, and the worst of them is CZ, CZ is a very good man to the global cryptocurrency market as a whole, but then, he has failed his Nigerian users multiple times, I guess the nigga is like me wey no dey like to chuk mouth to wetin I believe say e no concern me, but all the same, it's bad that he never made any supportive comments as regards to his Nigerian customers in times when people expected him to atleast say something, like for example, during the end Sars protest, even Elon musk showed support for the Nigerian youths, but CZ never made any comment regarding the matter, seems hes just after making money from Nigerians and that's all.
If we have to say the truth, it is not even about endSARs or affairs pertaining to Nigeria that he was not involved in, but Binance is truly not doing the right thing. He is providing crypto products and services to Nigerians but not registered under CAC. That is bad. But the way the regulators and federal government are handling the matter is what we do not like. India was wiser.

If Binance definitely returns back to nigeria, I believe some Nigerians will return back to the exchange to continue trading, while some will remain where they are currently, but for me, the only reason why I will possibly return back to Binance is if I get a better deal there, else, I will just remain where I am currently, which is okx and remitano.
There is something about that exchange that I do not understand. The reason why people just like it. If it comes back for naira P2P, Nigerians will use it.
Nigeria may be taken for granted by the federal government so that this problem is not handled well immediately. In contrast to large countries that have good legal powers, they will definitely quickly resolve this problem. Returning the assets owned by many Nigerian citizens who have become victims and cannot withdraw their assets should be one of the main priorities at this time.

I can understand the motives for staking when the market is falling or there are no indicators that Bitcoin may increase, but I see an increasing interest in staking stablecoin, as with a quick search on social media or asking some of my trader friends, I was surprised that some of them are staking large amounts while the market is rising and can earns more by buying Bitcoin.

Maybe they are aware of the correlation between BTC and Nasdaq,
and fear a Nasdaq crash

Kenya police service has arrested the escaped Binance Executive Nadeem Anjarwalla and are working with EFCC to extradite him back to Nigeria within the week to face the law.

https://punchng.com/exclusive-kenya-to-extradite-binance-executive-who-escaped-from-nigeria/?utm_source=auto-read-also&utm_medium=web

Told y'all that nobody messes with the Nigeria Government. The Kenya government will lose more if they refuse to send him back to Nigeria and they are not ready to take such a risk.
It is not different from the news I posted up there. The two news were out for people to read on the same day. The news title is confusing because in the news itself, there is nothing like Kenya police said the Binance executive will be extracted. Everything is still about Nigeria like maybe EFCC official saying something. Although, we all know how Kenya is. The country extradited Nnamdi Kanu but a man that was not arrested outside Africa, not to talk of extra diction?

By the way, how will Kenya lose if they decide not to extradite Nadeem Anjarwalla?

I didn't see your report I must have skipped it somehow....

We can't tell for sure but the reporter said the suspect will be extradicted to Nigeria this week so the only way to verify the info is to wait and see what happens before weekend. The only verified info now is that the Binance rep is being detained by the Kenya Police.

Kenya and Nigeria shares high diplomatic ties and Nigeria as the head of Ecowas and the AU we provide aids to these countries so there's more to gain being in Nigeria good book.

The Kenya government is going to extradite him and tag it "kidnapped" as usual.
It's been almost a week but there is still no latest news about Nadeem Anjarwalla. Really hope Nadeem Anjarwalla gets the appropriate punishment because they manipulated one country's data which is a criminal act that is very detrimental to many people in Nigeria.

Even the current fee still dey burst my dada. A whole $27.36 for low priority.

No Priority:  38 sat/vB $3.55
Low Priority:  293 sat/vB $27.36
Medium Priority:  306 sat/vB $28.58
High Priority:  320 sat/vB $29.88
Source: Mempool
The mempool has become less congested. Although the fee rate is still high than when those Ordinals and Runes have not be created.

As I was about to post this, the fee rate is:

Low Priority: 44 sat/vbyte
Medium Priority: 45 sat/vbyte
High Priority: 46 sat/vbyte

I think it is getting better already.
Currently, it seems that bitcoin transaction costs using mempool have started to fall, it seems that the gas costs required are quite stable. This should make all transactions fairly fast when used.

Low Priority: 10 sat/vbyte
Medium Priority: 22 sat/vbyte
High Priority: 25 sat/vbyte
