There are three types of tokens:
1: Security token - are tokens that equate to an ownership stake in a company.
2: Utility token - is a token that only has value in the use of a system.

You can search and find the best tokens suits your long term desire investment neither in security, utility, and commodity token investment.

However, to secure our assets from loss, I suggest that we only invest in top-ranking Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, and other coins that have proven to have a potential future and a good price.
Because if we choose the wrong Crypto coin, then the risk of losing we will experience is very large.

Yes, crypto is one of the best long time investment. But make sure you do diligently research on the particular project you intend to hodl for long time. Some projects that were hot 5 years back are now shits.

There is no doubt about that cryptocurrency is one of the best for long term investments. You should have a strategy for investing in crypto. My suggestion is to split your whole balance into half and buy BTC with half and with other half split that too in many portions and buy other top alts with that. This way you can distribute your risk.

I think you should not invest in cryptocurrency for long term at this moment. There has a high risk in long term investment. Because crypto price fluctuates more and more and so its price may decrease for long term. We see that ethereum is one of the best coin in the crypto market but its price is now very much lower than the year 2018 though its price has some what increased from the lowest point. So, I think, short term investment is safe.

Actually, if you're smart enough, it's the most profitable market out there, better than Stocks, Forex ... you name it.
For example, check Solaria, launched in April in exchanges, already made x14 ROI.
That means if you bought it with $1000 in April you would've made 14k in like 4 months. you won't be able to make this ROI in Stocks or Forex without having 99.99% risk.

Like if you purchase Bitcoin at higher price, you have to wait if fall the market or if you purchased at low price, you can sell it short time if you get profits but holding for more time can give you more profits. Basically, time period depends on the market and your strategies.

Yow it does not apply to all cryptocurrencies. I have held a few altcoins before and ended up losing even more. Most of these cryptos gets a pump and dump that is why we cannot just randomly hold any time of crypto. The best choices are to peak top cryptos like XRP and ETH because for sure they will last a very long time in the crypto market as many uses these type of coins.

IMHO, not all cryptocurrencies are suitable for longterm investment but only those top-ranking cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. because these cryptocurrencies are already stable in price and market capitalization, unlike those low ranking altcoins that are not stable in MarketCap including its price stability.

It's been a while now that most promising projects are taking only 2 - 3 years to deliver their 100% working product & sometimes even faster.
Solana for example didn't start the sale only after delivering a working blockchain already, YES, they are still in Beta but work bug free so far.
This means that the best promising projects re not building the product first then start the fund raising.

As long as the Federal Governments continue to print money out of thin air Bitcoin is a sure bet against inflation. Just imagine how much Dollar value has lost to Gold. I was looking at a char on twitter yesterday and compare what you can do with Dollar 50 years ago and now, and when you compare BTC to Gold you will realize it is a save bet with low risk

You can buy the top coins on the market. Those that are still have funds for long term investment can secure funds and bought some now while the price is not yet matured. How matured? Cause as per speculation bitcoin could reach so far and almost 100k I believe this will happened but not yet now. So its better to have secured funds when this happened.

It depends on which crypt currency we are talking about and in what period. Of course investing in bitcoin or ethereum when buying at a drop in price is a profitable long-term investment, but for most altcoins long-term investments when buying at medium/high prices almost always lead to long-term losses. Very few coins can not only hold their price, but also increase it all the time, most of them fall steadily down with periodic rebounds since launch. i noted this & its true that low ranking altcoins are not suitable for longterm investment . lots of cryptocurrency have good support, so we can follow this. now Chainlink is one of them, this is very good altcoin which is give you more profit. recently coinbase platform listed this currency.

It's up to you what is your strategy to make money in cryptos, you can hold for short term only or go for long term. If you want to hold for long term make sure you hold a potential altcoins like ethereum or else you will lose money in the end if you pick a coin with a bad project.

Some of the cryptocurrencies at the moment are really good for long term investment, and one of the best of these are of course Bitcoin is the first then BUSD, Link, Ethereum, Nem, Bnb, Vet, Ada, Sc, Band and Lend. But the majority of the cryptocurrency is not good to hold in the long term.

If i compare 2017 to 2020 year crypto market, there is 50/50 chance to gain investment. Actually as it is unpredictable market it can dump any time or pump also. So you have to take chance by luck or fate. But good sign that in pandemic situation people are more engaged with crypto market and good news every where. So i think this may be holding time for big investors so that it can give huge benefit at the end of the year 2020.

Some potential altcoins can be found not in top 100 coins rather below 300 or top 500. The potential coin will slowly ranking from one step to another until the time everybody knows about it and will invest. Other potential coin could be not yet listed coz they are in ICO stage.

Though I stated some good cryptocurrency to invest in, you must do your own research to verify everything. At the end of the day, it is your money you are spending so you better be careful and do your own research before embarking on an investment venture.

I am just going to leave this here. If you ask people about what is the Best commodity to invest in for a long time some people will immediately call GOLD, I don't have a problem with that, you can make a little profit and it is more stable but there is no comparison between Bitcoin and Gold in terms of ROI over the same period of time.

Yeah buy bitcoin will low and hold for long term investment.
For now, I still wait the bottom of bitcoin and will buy more for hold until 2024 or 2025
But I see the crypto market is starting to recover again now.

now or 10 years into the future still effective, if you want to make long term investments and buy BTC this seems like a very good time. Like in the next few years if btc doesn't reach the new ATH at least and hopefully reach the highest ETH until the end of 2021 beforehand.

TBH, I'm a trader.
I personally prefer do daily trading than hold for long term investment.
Because I didn't have big fund. Just a little.
So, day trading is my way to gain day profit.

In my humble opinion from the experience I have gained from over the years, cryptocurrency holding for long term are generally the best strategy for me. However one must important thing to not neglect is your entry point, if you got a good entry point, your long term holding will be a definite success!

Yes, one should plan for long-term investments in cryptocurrencies to get the maximum profit but the coin selection should be good and the portfolio should be well diversified. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the gems if you don't have knowledge about the crypto I would advise you to stick with only Btc and Ethereum only apart from this I am expecting Matic, Solana, and ADA would be the next big coins in the coming years.

I think long or short term are the best way to gain profit, it depends on your skill and fund.
I personally prefer in long term because I didn't have more time to do day trading. But maybe other have any reason to their investment.
Only some cryptocurrencies can be considered as a good investment in the long run. Now there are more than 20,000 different types of cryptocurrencies on the market, and the vast majority of them should not be considered as promising for long-term investments. And the rest cannot be considered as clearly promising for a very long period. It must be taken into account that the cryptocurrency does not develop on its own, it largely depends on the attitude of states towards it. And they have not yet fully decided on their attitude towards cryptocurrency.

I think everyone has his own strategies but the thing is that always stick to your plan alwayss... if you’re going positive in a trading keep the stoploss close to it so if the trade goes against you still one can get profit and you’ll gain confidence as well when market respect your levels. But sticking to my own plan and TA is my strategy. However I’m a newbie but sticking to my own plan makes me more confident and i achieve my goals as well and 90% of my trades are according to my plan. Even if it gets against me still i get some profit.

I don't understand the long term meaning of a project that doesn't have a physical presence, maybe the long term is the next 10 years, the rest may stay or disappear, I see one problem with a project that is pretty good but it doesn't last long and it hasn't been 10 years since launch .

According to me, in case of crypto it cannot be for so much long term because i myself is experiencing loss from past 10 years i dont see any profit. instead of this one may prefer Systematic Investment Planning that will lead to massive profit. Just a thought.
