Title: Is a Bitcoin crash inevitable?
Post by: raisajahan on January 25, 2021, 12:00:11 PM
I think so. A Bitcoin crash is on the horizon. A 15% to 30% correction is normal in cryptocurrency space. Bitcoin has made good strides in the new year and in December 2020.

Bitcoin prices in late 2020 to early January 2021 are impressive. However, this will be a burden on the way forward. The corrective effect will make the price decrease and it will be very obvious. I think this is normal and can happen at any time ...

Your prediction may be correct. But no matter how great the correction happened, it resulted in a sharp decline, the current price will still be better than the same time last year.

What hint do you have for you to think that the crash is inevitable, I don't think there will be a crash, although the market is very uncertain, it will take a pandemic like situation for the market to crash, we will have a correction along the way it's normal and it's been this way ever since, but a crash I don't see any hint.

The correction of bitcoin has already begun after it reached the price of 42 thousand dollars. And now bitcoin is in the $30-35 thousand corridor. If you look at the analogy with the previous years, the correction should continue maybe up to 20 thousand dollars. A lot will depend on big investors, where they will lead the bitcoin price.

The price of Bitcoin ate that new crush in early 2021 to everyone. The reason is that the price of Bitcoin has crossed $40k in a few days. It currently ranges from $30k to about $35k. In this new year, maybe the Bitcoin price will have a new crash, maybe in the middle of 2021.

@raisajahan it depends on what you understand by crash. If by crash you mean it goes down to 0 or a total collapse, the answer is no, Bitcoin will not go down to 0. It will drop in price because that is how it should be, it cannot always stay up, it will have corrections as in each cycle, but it will continue to grow over time.

it is certain that maybe in the next month btc will be corrected 30% or more because it covers the support and resistance lines. after Bitcoin is corrected it will become new support and there will be a new ATH.

You may be right. But in this situation, there is no need to fear a decline in prices, since in 2017 there was a similar situation when Bitcoin experienced corrections 6 times and dropped to 30 percent before it reached the $ 20,000 mark.

Bitcoin may drop significantly in price, but this will not mean its collapse. We must always be prepared for both its large price growth and its strong fall in price. For the cryptocurrency market, this is almost normal.
This year should be very interesting for Bitcoin and the participants in this market. It will show whether Bitcoin is able not only to rise to the expected price heights, but also to hold there for a long time.

Just like what had happend way back 2017, Bitcoin price no matter how deep the plummet goes it will bounce back and made another history. The word crash might be referred to as the price drop until $10 a coin but it does not.

How do we define a crash? When Bitcoin is correcting itself maybe in the vicinity of 30%, can we consider that as a crash already?  I am really amazed thinking that even if the market remains to be bullish for Bitcoin, many of us who are hoping for its continued rise are actually thinking that it can be crashing soon. Well, I am not blaming these people since they know the history of Bitcoin -- plainly a boom and bust cycle. The recent bull run was made possible by the coming in of institutional money, then what would it then take for another bull run to happen? The coming in of aliens?

I do agree with your opinion even the market can do 50% correction and we must always prepare for that too. I would say bitcoin is like a jumping ball when it goes up it must come down for correction as well even we have seen good movement in the past months and we should not be complaining about this drop now.

Actually this has been predicted by traders and investors, so maybe they are ready.  But if there is a correction of up to 50%, I think it is too deep.  Actually we really have to be careful if this really happens.

It all depends on the resistance, so far it looks like it is at $30,000 more or less. If the global capitalization does not fall below $900,000,000,000, it can remain at $30,000. But we already know how this works, at any moment it can give us a scare or a joy.

From the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021, the price of Bitcoin has increased a lot. However, the price of Bitcoin has dropped again. Currently the price of Bitcoin in the market is above $31000 dollars but I think the price of Bitcoin will rise again and exceed $50000 dollars.

Gradually, the price of bitcoin is falling and this is understandable why, because recently bitcoin has grown from about 3k$ to 40k$ and therefore now a big bitcoin correction is needed so that people would start investing in bitcoin again and I think this year we will see this correction and a new bitcoin pump also expecting this year.

The price of Bitcoin is surely crashing. The price is decreasing and going for the market correction. But we still don't know the bottom price of BTC so far. Well, if BTC has reached the bottom price and becomes stagnant, we may need to start the altcoin season.
However, will it really happen this month or next moth?

The crash that happens in Bitcoin is a very very usual condition Moreover they are really willing t have that kind of market condition. Bitcoin can pump so easily, but it also can crash easily. This is because of the volatility that happens to Bitcoin and we can check them all

Yeah, a decline in Bitcoin looks normal. The price should drop after too many supplies in the market. I think this time most Bitcoin holders try to not move their Bitcoin on the wallets. They know that the drop will come after the big increase in the last few months.

A drop in the price of bitcoin, even a very significant one, cannot be considered its collapse. Even if the price of Bitcoin drops to a thousand dollars or to a hundred dollars, will this mean its collapse as a cryptocurrency? According to the purpose of its creation, no. Bitcoin was created as an alternative means of payment for the existing payment system and therefore its price should not be significant for this. We pay too much attention to the price of bitcoin and because of this, it has turned mainly into a speculative asset and the high price has become some kind of goal in itself. This is exactly what leads Bitcoin to a dead end and to collapse.

After reaching ATH, I expect Bitcoin to have significant retracement at some point. Correction of 30% to 50% would not be at all surprising. However, I do not believe that the retracement will be a crash. That is, I do not think the retracement will be the beginning an extended bear market. I think Bitcoin is in the beginning of a growth cycle.

The bitcoin price correction is one normal thing that has to take place in the crypto space, so as to get a new ground of balance for another jump. Every time bitcoin drops in price, it could take a while for the correction to settle and the next bull run to take its pace. This correction always at the end brings profit upfront for all.

But in fact Bitcoin continues to climb and is difficult to control because Bitcoin has a strong FOMO from Elon Musk who bought so much of it with Fiat money.
Bitcoin is currently continuing to rise and stay away from the name crash and this crash has not happened until this second, hopefully this crash won't happen if it has to decrease to the price of 5000 USD.

But in the middle, the price of bitcoin is dumping. For some time, the price of Bitcoin has been rising again and exceeded 48,000$. Recently the price of Bitcoin has started dumping. Can't say whether the price of Bitcoin will pump again?

By seeing the progress of bitcoins now, I don't believe bitcoin will crash. So I don't agree with bitcoin crash is inevitable. It is possible for this year. Because after bitcoin halvingbwe will see the bullish. I always believed about it.

Bitcoin is the king of coins in the crypto world. Currently the price of Bitcoin is increasing at a much higher rate. By the end of 2020 it was priced at 36000 dollars. We well want the price of Bitcoin to continue to rise in the future. There is no doubt that a new record will be set if the price of Bitcoin continuous to rise in the same ways.

Any currency can crash, that includes Bitcoin. I doubt it will happen over the next few days though.

The price of bitcoin may indeed come down sharply at any time. But, the situation may not be as bad as that of 2018. As Elon Musk's Tesla has recently bought 1.5 billion worth of bitcoin. The company is also planning to introduce bitcoin as a payment system for its projects. At the same time, many other big investors have started investing in bitcoin. Many other big companies and a lot of financial institutions have also planning to invest in bitcoin. So, I believe this time around even though the bitcoin price comes down, it will bounce back soon.

After the price hits new ATH, commonly Bitcoin will always experience a market correction. Actually, if market correction is decreased by more than 10%, it may be a duped market. However, let's trust o the power of Bitcoin. As long as this is still in a bull run episode, the price will always make surprising and new price again.

You are right because the price of this bitcoin is increasing day by day but I think it is skyrocketing. And the price of this bitcoin is going up a lot. So it can be said that bitcoin crash is inevitable. The price of Bitcoin was much lower in 2020 but its price is going up a lot in early 2021.

A sharp rise in the price of bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency, as well as their subsequent fall, is a common occurrence in this market. We know that any big rise in prices is invariably followed by a correction, and sometimes with a decent drop. But the bullish period, which began at the end of 2020 and lasted for almost half a year, will probably be remembered by all participants in this market. We have never seen such significant growth. Yes, the price of bitcoin after that fell again by more than 50 percent, but this means that it is time to prepare for the next wave of price growth again.

The decrease in the price of Bitcoin from 15-30% is very reasonable because Bitcoin always has a positive effect on everything so that it provides an extremely good value for all altcoins.
It's just that Bitcoin can drop by up to 30%, so altcoins can fall more than 50% and this is really a price change that traders and holders in the entire cryptocurrency market don't want.

I don’t see any reason at all to think that the collapse of bitcoin is close, it happened that it fell to the bottom of its price tag, then immediately took off to its maximum price. Where did you get the idea that there will be a collapse of bitcoin?...

I confess I am a little concerned what will happen if there is, indeed, a war in Ukraine. How that will affect the markets in general, including the crypto market.

Bicoin remains the top choice even though its price has been dumped down to an estimated 70% and this is pretty solid evidence that Bitcoin is the digital asset that everyone in the entire cryptocurrency market wants.
There is no need to hesitate anymore if we buy Bitcoin at a price that was red because it only took a few days for Bitcoin to turn green and rise quickly.

I think It's good time when dip.
As you said Bitcoin to turn green and rise quickly.
That's true, I have gotten profit buy the dip and set target, but not much.
Bitcoin is still strong at bearish season, So we still can do trading or short term investment.
Hopefully you'll luck too.

What is the current state of tension between Ukraine - Russia ? Hope it stays fine. Everyone must be worried if this war really happens, I'm afraid it will have a big impact on the world economy. Bitcoin will definitely have its share of bad luck, but I'll be fine.

In any type of economy there can be one or several crashes, no asset is 100% safe. But I also think that we should understand correctly what a “crash” is when we talk about economics, since any crash that we have seen in real estate or in oil, for example, does not have the same patterns that a cryptocurrency might have. In this case, I think that cryptocurrencies are "safer" to fight against any type of crash. Still cryptocurrencies are very young and almost anything can happen.

It is inevitable when there is global panic, it is something that is impossible to control, neither in the BTC market or even in the stock market, forex, among others, it cannot be controlled, because emotions are those indicators that move the entire market, so the whales do what they do is impossible, unless there is a Strong Hands that handles at least 80% of the entire market and that there is no such person or persons, then for this reason sometimes it is inevitable that it happens, even in shares of the stock market as stable as Disney, Paypal, Amazon, among others, at some point they have to fall because it is a normal stage of the market.

But I don't believe It will have big impact for crypto currency.
Russia and Ukraine is war now, But crypto is growing up again now.
Current bitcoin price is 44K USD, I think bitcoin will touch 50K USD at this month.
Hopefully war will end, better to see the peace than war.

You have absolutely not substantiated your position on why bitcoin will soon be subject to collapse. Bitcoin can really endure hard times over time.
Firstly, it already has a very high price and it is not a fact that its price will rise further. To do this, it is necessary that hundreds of billions of dollars continue to be invested in bitcoin, and then, in this case, it can only grow approximately twice. That is, the higher its price, the more difficult it will be for it to grow in price terms.
Secondly, the European Union has already planned to ban not only mining, but also the circulation of cryptocurrencies with the energy-consuming PoW algorithm from 2025. This will primarily apply to bitcoin. This will be a heavy blow to him and what will happen next is unknown. However, a lot can change during this time.

I agree, for people who trust Bitcoin's long-term success (such as myself) it is a good time to buy since it's not likely that it will dip much lower, at least not permanently. In the meantime, trading is still a great option to take advantage of short-term fluctuations.

The commentary was written three days before the start of the bloodiest and most brutal war in Europe since the Second World War. Russia was very wrong in its assumption that in a few days it would be able to capture Ukraine and suffer a crushing defeat in Ukraine. In retaliation, she is now launching periodic rocket attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, seeking to deprive Ukrainians of light, water and heat and spark massive protests against her government. But this only unites the desire of Ukrainians to destroy the occupiers.

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 93,760 Russian occupiers in Ukraine have been killed to date. According to Russia, irretrievable losses amount to more than 126,000 military personnel (93,012 from among the regular military personnel, 28,134 members of the Wagner private military company and 5,673 of the National Guard).

This war has worsened the economic situation in many countries of the world, and if it continues, its negative impact will increase.

Please take a look at the Bitcoin Price chat all the way back to 2010 and reconfirm to us that Bitcoin is much lower than before!! The Bitcoin price is basically still in an uptrend to me even though it is currently trading slightly below the previous ATH of $19k+ but this dip has not still reached the dip from ATH of 2017 which was about -83% when compared to the current dip of about -77% and profitability in Bitcoin investment isn't hopeful but certain unless there is some sort of global financial crisis which will also affect other financial markets too and not just Crypto.

The collapse of bitcoin may be when it generally stops growing in price at the current pace. We must understand that it cannot grow in price indefinitely. So far, the principle of a large increase in the price of bitcoin during the year after the next halving is working. But whether this trend will continue in the future, I'm not sure. Price movement is created by people by increasing or decreasing demand. With the continued high price volatility of bitcoin, its high price value will already have a negative impact on its further price growth.
And the current price drop of bitcoin during the bearish period is a temporary matter.
