As much as I can say that nothing is impossible, but it is highly unlikely because BTC is the holy grail and the mother of all cryptocurrencies. I can say that there’s no way others would replace Bitcoin in the near future.
But of course, correct me if I’m wrong later on if that happens and we can go back to this thread and discuss it again. ;D

First of all, how many cryptocurrencies have the kind of supply like Bitcoin? It will be really difficult for any present crypto to have the king of price tag as bitcoin mainly because of the total supply and we also understand that even the total supply for Bitcoin is not really the total considering the number of lost Bitcoin which even makes it more scarce. Based on this single parameter, I don't see this happening.

Bitcoin influences the price of other cryptocurrencies not because of its high price, but because of its high capitalization. This indicator is directly related to price dominance, which is expressed as a percentage of the total market capitalization. Due to the fact that altcoins have been developing very quickly in recent years, capitalization is flowing to them and the percentage of bitcoin dominance is steadily falling. Therefore, it is quite logical that a moment will come when the dominance will become so low that Bitcoin will lose its position as the leader of the cryptocurrency.

Since that I entered in crypto world in 2017 I don't see the potential of the other coins that will replace bitcoin and for sure there is no crypto that will replace bitcoin in the future. Bitcoin will be still the number 1 cryptocurrency because of course it is the first crypto and very popular.

I don't think anything like that will happen. Because every token that came out afterwards came out to be an alternative to bitcoin, but none of them could be an alternative. Even though it sometimes surpassed BTC in price, tokens like yfii could never stay at that point and suffered a pullback. Bitcoin is a locomotive and it will always be ahead.

Into the future, let's say maybe 10 years from now, there can be a big possibility that Bitcoin has been relegated to the background because there are already many other coins taking the cryptocurrency market by storm. Well, again, that can be a possibility but if Bitcoin will eventually become a very solid player and can reach at least $500,000 in value then the same thing happening now can still be true. We have to remember that Bitcoin has some noticeable weaknesses, many of its possible replacements got also their flaws - there is nothing perfect here 100% and if there is it may not be patronized by the many or not excited enough to capture a slice of the available market.

I don't think Bitcoin is replaced, if the position of the altcoin market cap is able to be above Bitcoin, it looks like it will happen and ethereum which I think can occupy the top position if one day the ethereum market cap is able to be above Bitcoin.
for payment, altcoins such as BUSD and USDT are still an option however, I am more interested in altcoins that have fluctuating prices

I wonder where those coins/projects are now? do they still exist in the cryptocurrency market? I think it is not just the price of a coin or any token but the value which it holds and its acceptance by the crypto community. For now Bitcoin has that support of the crypto society and maybe just maybe there might be some crypto project that can replace Bitcoin in the future but I don't see that yet.

If we talk about the future then there are already a lot of prediction regarding the vanishing of Crypto, but if we talk about the current market situation and in the next few Years then BTC will be still on top of all coins.

It was a very expensive price of YFI, Bitcoin ATH was still far from that number ($68,789). Unfortunately, YFI was experiencing a huge drop, so the current price is about $23,334. Regarding controlling other coins' prices, only Bitcoin has that capacity. I don't see a chance for other coins to have the same capacity as Bitcoin.

Previously, BCH was expected to replace BTC due to its advantages, but BCH failed. Right now I only have my hopes on ETH because ETH is still the best altcoin in the market. Other tokens like LTC or XRP will not be comparable to ETH.

Until this moment, the market cap of Bitcoin has never been crossed by altcoins that have been circulating in the market and maybe I only see Ethereum that has been passed by Ripple and that also only lasts 1-2 weeks, the rest Bitcoin dominates the market.

We can't say much more about Bitcoin, let alone to beat Bitcoin in a bad way because I'm also sure that Bitcoin is full of uncertainty and this is something that is considered pure by the cryptocurrency community.

According to everything I have been able to read and see over the years, it is almost impossible for another currency to replace BTC, the reason is unique, BTC is the King, it is the only currency that has a life of its own and that has a history, any other currency has to meet the normal requirements in the speculative markets, such as going through accumulation and distribution stages, for me a currency other than BTC cannot be compared because BTC is unique and has the deflationary economy that makes it unique.

In my opinion, the price of a cryptocurrency is not decisive in this market. It is possible that altcoins will not be able to beat bitcoin in price, although we have recently seen that the YFI token has already exceeded the price of bitcoin for some time. Yes it can happen, but remember Bitcoin is the king of Crypto. The first Crypto Coin to appear, has the highest popularity to date. It's not easy to replace Bitcoin, for whatever reason.

Bitcoin can no longer replace the functionality of most altcoins. Many cryptocurrencies now perform a wide variety of useful functions that Bitcoin is not able to perform. Bitcoin was created with the main goal - to be an alternative means of payment to the current state payment system. But it also performs this function very poorly. Therefore, the time will come and bitcoin may well be replaced by some other worthy altcoin. But when that will be is impossible to say.

Many people have talked about ETH or BCH being able to replace BTC in 2017 but reality has proven that BTC is still the crypto KING because it is a tool for market maker to manipulate and profit from this market. I don't think BTC will lose the top 1 before blockchain technology is widely adopted and crypto exists only as a method of payment for transaction fees on those platforms.

It might be possible but no chance to dominate and replace Bitcoin on its throne. Ethereum is potential and explosive but cannot overthrown Bitcoin since from the beginning of its creation. We might see another potential coins, still possible but no chance to overthrown Btc on its throne.

I agree complete with your opinion! In as much as it's very possible that Bitcoin can be replaced by another coin, it will be very difficult and not among the current league of coins that we have in the crypto system right now. Maybe somewhere in the far future.

As long as bitcoin exists in this industry, I don't think any other cryptocurrency can replace bitcoin's current position in the market. But, when bitcoin suddenly disappears from this industry, I can only believe that there will be another cryptocurrency that will replace bitcoin.
It's just that for now, it's simply impossible for bitcoin to disappear.
