Title: Eliminating fake news about bitcoin
Post by: Alpha on June 20, 2018, 05:16:18 PM
Fake news creates strong boundaries not to engage with  bitcoin.    How we can eliminate fake news if we all know that in all parts of the world fake news regarding bitcoin are presented?

That is impossible to prevent for news spread faster. It is more interesting to talk about fake news than the real issues that complete and not one sided alone. What the people do is be aware of what is fake and truth.

I do not think it is possible to eliminate fake news about bitcoin. People will tend to believe whatever they want to hear despite conflicting evidences. But one should always verify what they hear about bitcoin.

So we can say that there is nothing we can do to eliminate fake news. But I think we should implement law against it to minimize.

It's kind of out of our hands.  The mass media seems to talk bitcoin down whenever the subject is trending.  Not to mention how much banks seem to talk shit about bitcoin in the media.  The public itself needs to wise up on its own and start thinking more critically about the things their pundits say on TV.  So I'd say it's more of an overall problem with education than anything else.  Fake news will always be able to damage legitimate products until people learn to recognize that the media may not always be genuine.

Indeed people should use critical thinking to be able what's the matter on real bitcoin part. Some speaks beyond their comprehension to deliver garbages news about bitcoin. So we can say to those who spread fake news are bitcoin haters and those who believes are victims of unrevealed truth.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do this in the age we live in. Because there is no traditional media anymore, with the internet and social media, everything is spreading at the speed of light. Therefore, filtering, censoring something remained in pre-Internet periods.

Currently we cannot control the spreading of false news because of social media.  People are hooked into social media and anybody can post anything. So we need to verify the news to credible internet sites before posting it to our social media accounts
