I woke up this morning and saw I had 1 karma and also three new badges, but what I don't understand is why one of the badges I got is showing me as "Karma Bad." You can see it in the image below.

Secondly, I want to ask the function of the [+ karma] and [-karma] on people's profiles. I tapped on the + karma on someone's profile this morning, hoping it would bring up any further message or option, but it did not, and at a point I also thought my own karma would disappear and go to the person, but it did not.
My question is: what is the function of those keys in the image below? Again, if I award karma to a user, will it reduce my own earned karma?

I am unable to find an answer to the question in any other thread, so I decided to ask.

it's when you give negative karma to someone

I will recommend you go through this thread[1] it contains everything you need to know about Karma
But before then let me try to explain based on what I’ve learned so far, the karma + button is used to reward a user with karma for a post they made, and if you’ve ever sent a karma to any user you’ll get a badge for it, while the karma - is the opposite of the first one, let’s say you come across a user that’s constantly spamming the forum you can use the “-“ to reduce their karma that way if they want to do anything in the forum including joining a signature campaign they won’t, cause the “negative karma” has already indicated that they are a typical spammer. And like the positive karma, if you’ve ever sent one to a user you’ll also receive a badge for it. Just like you did.

Ok, thanks for the link but I gues I did not intentionally give a bad karma to that user, I was only checking to see how that works.
Is there any way I can remove bad karma from the person's profile? Perhaps I don't even know the particular user I tapped on their negative karma. Any help on that or you will help to figure it out?

You can correct giving both positive and negative karma just by clicking the opposite button soon. It will give +2 karma or -2 karma compensating the mistake. But if you don't remember to whom did you give a negative karma then no. Be cautious please.

it's not a problem, as Jokers mentioned, if it happens by mistake you can rectify it with a positive karma.
don't worry about it too much, the community is pretty positive, they often give positive karma,
the only users that suffer from karma are the ones that clearly have a negative attitude or behaviour

Thanks for the clarity admin and you’ve actually been on my watchlist and I just want to commend your positive attitude to every user and how you take out your time to explain everything to everyone irrespective of their rank and I do admire that but hope you don’t change from doing this as time goes.
Keep up the good work and I must say I love you 😘

As far as I know karma is when you first receive a karma you will be given a karma award. Again when you get a negative karma you will be given a bad karma Badge, of course negative karma is basically given if the quality of the post is not good. And when you get your Good Karma Badge, surely a user will give you positive karma and show it on your profile.

Incorrect, a bad karma Badge is given when you give someone -karma, not when you were given -karma by someone else.

Thanks, this has now been clear to me.
One more thing, there are any penalties for those who misuse the negative karma feature? There might be some other people who want to try the feature and see the effects of negative karma on other users. This could be potentially led to abuse in the future.
And one more thing, is there a way to view a list of users who have given us positive or negative karma, along with the post that caused it?

One question from me, is there any penalty for those who misuse the negative karma feature? Some individuals might want to experiment with the feature or test its effects by giving negative karma to other users. However, this could potentially lead to abuse in the future.

Only admin has an access to karma logs, so only he can see who, whom and for what.
Karma abuse is a violation, so yes, karma abusers get penalties. It happens not so often, but there were such cases in the past. If found, all incorrect karma will be deleted and abuser will be punished.

How will the admin know that there's an abuse in using karma? Does the admin review every karma, positive or negative in the karma logs? It is a lot of work. The admin deserves respect for their tireless efforts. It also seems that he does not know the word sleep. 8)

No need in monitoring every karma, when karma abused it is seen because of significant karma changes. This happens really rare. But of course admin can check things when he thinks something goes wrong.

Karma is essentially a merit. If your post is good. Then starting from the senior member and all the above members if they think your post is good then they can give you positive karma according to their wish. On the other hand if your question is copyrighted and you have shared wrong information then you might get negative karma for it. Karma may be assigned to make your account appear authentic or informative to everyone.
