to take an unprecedented step - the resumption of support for outdated software .

Ha! That is not the news I expected to hear today! I wonder what is the percentage of PC users still using XP compared to those still using Win7. By now XP probably barely works without any maintenance for so long.

There are still many people and businesses that use Windows XP on their computers or machines and are not ready to migrate to a higher version of the software because their business applications require XP or for their personal reason. It is good for Microsoft to renewed its support for XP to service these people
