There are lots of good exchanges where you can buy altcoins the issue is how they charge, some exchanges like binance etc charges high transaction fees while some don't it all depends on the kind of coins you want to buy though..

That's what I think though, most projects that are sprining up now adays are scammy in natire, making it very hard to know which project is real and which is not.. but one thing in crypto still stands always make good research before investing your funds.
