How we deal with duplicate accounts

Update: Forum policy concerning duplicate accounts

We understand that some people create duplicate accounts to promote different things that they do not wish to associate with primary account, but a lot use duplicate accounts to get more bounties and airdrops, and that is basically the reason why there is a huge misstrust in newbie accounts, and that's why a lot of new people find it harder to join campaigns.

Our solution:
If we catch duplicate accounts joining same campaign, or it is reported to us, we will label both accounts as duplicate. And thus lose access to certain sections like bounty & airdrops.

Thus the "Duplicate Profile" group > will limit your access to airdrops & bounties !

For now we are labeling duplicate only the newest accounts, but we might change this policy in the future to include primary as well.

Thus avoid joining same bounty / airdrop with multiple accounts or risk losing possibility to do so.

We are doing this because:
1- Campaigns lose a lot of money paying the same people with multiple accounts.
2- Duplicators create mistrust in newbie.
3- We want to create a safe and trustful environment for both new people and campaign managers.

they are allowed, but what is not allowed is manipulation:
- karma manipulation
- double applying for airdrops
- even double applying for ALTS

thus if you have a second account, for any other reason, you're good.

I just want to ask about my alt.

My reason to do that:

• I use my alt on my phone, and I use it when I'm on an unsecured network (public WIFI)
• My alt coincidently under my referral, because I happen to be trying to give an example of logging into ALTS forum to my community.

Do I need to delete my alt account first? and then registers it to this forum again?

Or, should I introduce my alt? Maybe fill my UID to my alt personal text at forum profile settings
Or, should I need some help from Sr Member above to give my alt negative karma?

I don't want to break any rule in this forum.
Please, suggest me what I must have to do with my alt.

Do we have a special thread for assigning duplicate accounts?


If not such a topic should be posted where people can add second account for duplicate badge. This should be an pinned topic with rules added for duplicate accounts.

My concern is...
How would you know that someone created more then one account. In BTT they have trust system(not saying it works very well but it does the job), if anyone has any duplicate account then they neutral tag it in public to declare that this is their ALT. How do you identify it here.
