Personally i am not agree with it because of unpredictable market. Just think one think, BTC was hit near 20k$ once upon a time and those who hold at that time with big or small amount what happen last 3 years in their fate. So better of trading instead of holding at this market so that you can learn trade and gain dividend at the same time.

I personally know many people who bought they first part of the bitcoin in 2017. But they are now in nice profit. All of these people are using DCA method (dollar cost averaging). I think this is great method to be in profit.

If one can learn trading, he will be amazed on how trading can grow one's Bitcoin holding.  Taking the idea of selling high and buying low, trading offers an individual to grow his holdings by taking advantage of the volatility of Bitcoin.  And we all know that Bitcoin is highly volatile.  Rather than holding and letting Bitcoin to sleep in our stash, it is best to trade it and grow it using that method.  So if the price of Bitcoin goes up, and we are able to grow our Bitcoin holdings into 2x the original amount, we can have an exponential profit.  Though, I admit that it needs a lot of study and research because profit or money won't come that easily.

At times, trading altcoins may bring more profit than holding btc. But trading is a game for those who really know what they are doing,  otherwise you might get burnt
