Is CBDC RUB in the Russian joke too?!

According to an Oct. 16 report by local news agency Izvestia, at least five Russian banks are interested in taking part in Russia’s non-public digital ruble pilots in the first half of 2021.

According to the report, the central bank is considering using the digital ruble to distribute salaries and benefits once the currency is publicly adopted. The Bank of Russia reportedly said that users will be able to store and transfer the upcoming digital currency through an “analog of a bank card.” In order to accept the digital ruble, merchants will have to “reconfigure payment terminals,” the report notes.

What do you think about CBDC in the plan of the Russian government? We all know that Russia recently issued and repealed many crypto laws and made the Russian crypto community dare not take any action. Is CBDC RUB in the Russian joke too?!

I don't think Putin Coin can be marketable especially if they are thinking of going international, in the same way that China never entertained the idea of having Xi Jinping Coin as it is too myopic and too tribal. Now, I am really sure that Russia is going to push this idea of going digital or having its own CBDC soon. They don't want to be left out by China, in the first place and I know they already recognized the big potential of having a state-backed cryptocurrency that can easily bypass the already established norms of international commerce. Just like China, the push is to make sure that the dominance of the USA Dollar is slowly clipped. This is one reason why America should think ahead because by the time when the demand for the USA Dollar will dry up then that can be the time when its people will feel the many ill effects of printing paper money at will.

Now it is the introduction of national digitized currencies of states that is of great importance and is considered by most states. National stablecoins of the central banks of states cannot be dedicated to individual leaders, they are a clear relic of the past. In Russia, there should be, and I think that there will be a digitized ruble. All states already see significant advantages of such a step in the development of the existing financial system.

Of course, Russia will also keep up with technical progress in the financial sphere. Most states are now actively working to create national stablecoins for central banks. It is economically much more profitable and more efficient for using traditional cash and non-cash currency.

It seems that among the leadership of Russia there is no consensus on this issue, and therefore the situation cannot move forward. And the problem is not quite simple for quick implementation. If the Digital Ruble is realized, then it will be good news for the future of crypto, as we know that several countries that are members of the BRICS such as China have developed Digital Yuan, this allows the use of crypto in the future, although currently some countries prohibit the use of crypto, but I'm sure the country that created the CBDC system will accept crypto in the future

So with that definition above, how would that be good news for Crypto? Is CBDC a new cryptocurrency? I believe some of us are getting this CDBC thing confused with Cryptocurrency and that is the Intention of the Governments that are putting out these CBDCs around the world. They are doing this because they don't want their citizens to continue to trade crypto, like china which has banned everything crypto, the Nigerian Government that has Ban Crypto transactions, and some other such countries.

2021 has already passed, and 2022 is ending, but we hear nothing about the appearance of a digitized ruble in Russia. Now they have definitely different problems in connection with the failed war in Ukraine and the threat of the collapse of Russia itself into independent republics.
Russia kept dozens of nationalities in obedience, which now, having felt the weakness of the central government, want to secede from the Russian Federation. Many held their own referendums on self-determination back in the 90s, but the will of these peoples was leveled by Moscow (the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Bashkiria, the Republic of Kalmykia, the Republic of Buryatia).

Russia allegedly started a war in Ukraine so that the inhabitants of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine would have the right to self-determination. Now we will see how Russia will react to the same processes in itself. The two Chechen wars are clear evidence of such a reaction. But now Russia will no longer be able to brutally suppress such processes by force of arms.

A race for dominance? Please, what is the real difference between the existing digital banking and the new CBDC these governments are trying to launch? I am in a country that has already launched its CBDC and I can tell you it is not popular amongst citizens and not different from the traditional digital BAnking that is already in place. Hope we are able to realize that this is just another form of fiat money as I have mentioned before in my previous post and let me post this here for you again:
