It can already be argued that the Russian army suffered a major defeat in Ukraine. To a large extent, the manpower and military equipment of the Russians that invaded Ukraine has been destroyed, and the morale of the Russians in the war is extremely low. Because of this, they massively refuse to fight, desert and injure themselves.
However, the political leadership of Russia does not want to admit defeat and withdraw the remnants of its troops from Ukraine. There they decided to throw new "living meat" into the furnace of war. On September 21, they decided to introduce mobilization throughout Russia, which they call partial, and announced the call for 300,000 reservists, although according to available information, they are planning to call up 500,000 people until December and the same number by March. That is, they will mobilize an additional million people to seize Ukraine. At the same time, at the legislative level, they increased criminal liability for evasion of mobilization, refusal to fight and desertion.
Military analysts argue that this human mass is unlikely to change the situation in favor of Russia, since in general it will be replenishment unprepared for war, and in Russia there is already a shortage of military equipment and ammunition. But this indicates that this war will drag on for some time.
