Sent Token To Wrong Network- How often does this happen?
« on: September 15, 2022, 12:02:46 PM »
So, being a normie you are bound to make mistakes and so I sent some tokens to the wrong network. Most of the people I mentioned it told me, dude, all is lost. My Wallet Provider BlockWallet told me the wallet supports custom RPC and worked me through on how to recover the tokens.

Just did and was wondering how many people make this mistake in the cryptosphere and is there no other way to make this more interoperable.

Still very relieved the Blockwallet has custom RPC. Whatever that means, it helped me. The Importance of RPC

As far as I understand, you do not understand what you are talking about at all and have nothing to do with this resource.  If you read all your comments, then your actions can be judged as advertising, but nothing else.

When you say RPC...you mean remote procedure call? I am new to this understanding...but does it mean that someone from Blockwallet accessed your account to help you get back the token you sent wrongly? What I learn is that it would be so difficult to get back the token under this circumstances though I also learn it depends on the platform where you sent the asset under the wrong network. Maybe it would be helping us if you can elaborate what really happened here.

You know, I don't know if you understood what you were saying here in the topic you did, you sent a token to the wrong network, are you okay?

Many people have indeed done such a situation that the token was sent to the wrong network, it happened to me, I took out an amount of 100$ usdt under Bep20(BSC -network) but the address of the usdt I sent was usdt-trc20, but even so, the money was sent and I still received it, at first, I was surprised, but I realized that the address under BEP20 and TRC20 is the same, so I still received it.

But if they are on different networks and have different addresses, you will not be able to recover the token you sent.

As long as the network uses EVM, then you don't have to worry about tokens lost, tokens will be there and fine, a little tricky problem is, when you send wrong tokens to exchange wallet, you can't do RPC setup because you are using Custodian wallet and You have no control over it.

I'm confused by your statement, RPC basically stands for remote procedure call, a set of protocols that allow clients (like MetaMask) to interact with the blockchain. Now there is a lot of EVM compatible networks you can use with MetaMask and when you send to a project with the same network there should be no problem.
