agree with you, currently, the price of Ethereum is very high, it is much better to choose other Altcoins such as BNB and BCH..

I am a little doubtful about ethereum at the moment because of the problems they face when they have so many smart contracts but the fees they incur are also big. many crypto users have complained about the fees for selling and buying ETH and its derivative tokens. It seems very difficult to make Ethereum prices go up because to be honest, Ethereum has a very large supply and if all the total supply of Ethereum is being sold at this time it can make the price collapse at a low price, Ethereum has to burn 50% of the supply to make it expensive.

Yes, you are right. Today there are many coins that provide lower fees and faster transactions unlike Ethereum. And I think this is a natural thing, because crypto users definitely prefer coins that offer a solution for lower fees and faster transactions.
