TON (Telegram Open Network) is a block chain and fast network project. It is secure, scalable, capable of processing millions of transactions per second. One can think of TON as a giant distributed supercomputer, or rather a super large super server, planning to host and provide many different services.
TON is the foundation of blockchain developed by Telegram encrypted instant messaging service, which is considered as one of the main means of communication in the blockchain and cryptocurrency community.
The blockchain network is said to be intended to gain widespread use by the crypto-friendly Telegram community. According to the report, TON will facilitate internal payments, hosting decentralized applications (DApps) and providing wallet services.

The hype on TON is picking up. Personally, I would prefer having TON over Libra. Both have huge user base and both also have payment features. Aside from being an open network, features such as creating smart contracts and storing hash will attract more crypto enthusiasts.

Of course, I would prefer to have TON, over Libra too. There is no comparison for these two coins. They are completely different.

So much time had passed after the public announcement of this soft and it still faces lots of problems. That's weird. And I won't believe anything developed by Telegram group as their messenger is a total disaster for those who look for a privacy. I prefer Utopia p2p as it's already released, it's blockchain based and totally encrypted. Lots of people use it already and I hadn't heard of any issues.

it is quite unfortunate that this project meets it's waterloo. bitforex has to refund investors. the owner of the project refuse to open up on the financial status of the IEO. therefore it was a huge problem between them and SEC. It was a prospective project that everyone expected to succeed.
