Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Info and Prediction Thread

Kambosos got schooled, he would have lost even if he wasn't TKO'd from the body shots. I don' t know what happened to him during the fight but maybe Lomachenko's constant pressure got to him.
Loma is just a better fighter than Kambosos that's why he won.
That body shot is just too much for him and add also the fact that his eye is bloody as well.

Looking at the current titles at Lightweight, there's still WBO that's still vacant. I wonder who will get that title as well. I mean Shakur got one which is the WBC, Tank Davis got the WBA, and now Lomachenko got the IBF. Any good fighters at Lightweight still?

Anyway, I've been watching boxing events for quite some time already, but it's my first time to see an announcer making a wrong announcement and announcing a wrong fighter to win the fight. Anybody saw that blooper? When I watched that, I said to myself that they need to fire that announcer after this event. He's Steve Harvey 2.0 . :D

See two charts and discover a fact that intelligent investors bravely buy in bear markets, when most serious tests on their belief and mentality. Price did not hold if there are not strong believers and investors. It's not luckiness for Bitcoin, Gold and their investors to hold price in bear markets and tested in many bear markets in history. Their cycles can be longer or shorter but you can see how psychology of market cycle works.
Those who have the balls to buy when everything are panicking are surely the ones that will get the most profit in the long run.
I mean just imagine those who bought Bitcoin when it's below $20,000. Now they are sitting at more than 3x, and possible more in the months to come.

I always believe that those who are brave are the ones that are rewarded, but not all brave ones. I can be a brave investor, and buy those shitcoins out there. :D What I mean is that, when everything is down, I will use some of my money to buy top coins that are already down in value. At the end of the day, it's a matter of how patient you are, and how discipline you are to not make any unnecessary decisions especially when you see your portfolio up big time.

Knowledge is power. That's a famous quote and that's true. If you have the knowledge, you will know what to do especially in the market that we are right now. If you're knowledgeable enough, you can create your own investment plan and from there, success will follow like what OP said.

What do you think about crypto messaging apps? Can they really change the way we use digital assets, or are just there..
Not familiar of this kind of thing TBH. I did a quick search on what are these, and I believe that it will be one of the things that I will not touch at all... at least for now. :D
Anyway, who knows. They might become more popular in the future for whatever reason it is. One thing's for sure. Your assets will not be safe if you will put it there. Telegram launched their own wallet which for me, is a no-no.

Re: Do you really believe on NFTs?
I don't know if it's just me, but I see NFT's as worthless pictures that has no intrinsic value at all.
Right now, the only use case that I'm seeing on NFTs is they are being used as a requirement to get some airdrop tokens. I can't think of any, but if you are joining multiple airdrops and have been following many projects, there are some that in order for you to get a portion of the tokens, you need to hold a specific type of NFT.

There are still some NFTs out there that are being created and sold, and they're the ones that are lucky. There are some NFT games out there that are still operating and even though I'm not playing them anymore, I still believe that it will continue for at least a few more years. Overall, I don't believe in NFTs anymore, and I don't invest into NFTs anymore, but we can't deny the fact that NFTs are hear to stay already, and will be used by many people in various ways possible.

This series is playing out just like the regular season did. Both teams swept the other on the home teams court. If that's the case for this whole series, Denver loses in 7. Just a stat to keep in mind if you are betting.
If the Timberwolves will lose against the Nuggets tomorrow, I think I'll follow the pattern and bet on the road team in this series.
I'm just curious on what are the adjustments that the Timberwolves did to shut down the 2 superstars of the Nuggets. I think for Jokic, they can't stop him and nobody can stop him, but they can stop Murray and don't get his rhythm early on the game.

Wrong time for SGA to go cold, he only made 1 of his 6 attempts in the fourth quarter when they were trailing and then adding 3 turnovers to make it worse.

Celtics are cruising with a 16-point lead right now. Unless they choke in the fourth, they are taking the series lead. Somebody else in the Cavs needs to step up if they want to win game 3.
Wrong timing indeed, but anyway, it's a must win for the Thunder or else, they might lose to the Mavericks in 6 games. I mean at the start of the series, the Thunder has a higher chance to win based on some analysts. As for me, I'm also rooting for the Thunder, but with them lacking the experience, I will not be surprised if the Mavericks will win on this one.

As for the Celtics-Cavaliers, the Celtics manage to win on the road yet again. It seems like we've seen this kind of scenario already during the first round of the playoffs between the Celtics and the Heat. Do you think that it will be the same scenario this time? They will steal one on the road again and win on their home to clinch the East Finals? :D

I voted for $150,000, but that's just my prediction and TBH, I don't want to stress myself and change my prediction so I'll just enjoy eating some popcorn while watching the market going upwards.

$150,000 for me is the realistic peak of Bitcoin during the bull run. I believe that the price of it will at least double it's previous 2021 ATH which is around $69,000. While I don't expect for this price to be touched because there's a chance that it might not even reach that price, I will not be surprised if it surpass that price within the duration of the bull run. One thing's for sure, the higher it goes, the more happier those Bitcoin holders are. :D

Bitcoin always undergo a breakthrough (increased) in price , same goes with other coins. And this time around there are usually alot if hyped in market and alot of coin are also going to be launched. And alot of people are at there looking for who to scam ( through using Ponzi scheme and all such of related method). All am trying to say is that we should be careful on how we invest our hard earned money, by doing proper research before jumping into any form of investment expecially those who are new here , with the mindset of getting rich quick.
ponzi time have passed , there are very few stupid and fool people that become their victims thanks to bitcointalk forum.
I always believe for a very long time that investors will become more intelligent as time goes by. As many people experienced getting scammed, they will share it to other people and to newbies out there so that they will know what to avoid. I agree with you that the "Ponzi Scheme" way of scamming investors has been long gone (or if there are still, it isn't as successful as it was years ago). Now the scammers are finding other ways to scam investors again.

I will always thank the Bitcointalk forum, and YouTube as well for giving me advices, tips and guides on how to avoid these scam attempts. It's good that we need to share it to other people here in this forum as well. :)

All am trying to say is that we should be careful on how we invest our hard earned money, by doing proper research before jumping into any form of investment expecially those who are new here , with the mindset of getting rich quick.
Sometimes, doing proper research doesn't mean that you will not get scammed.
Sometimes, just using your common sense is enough for you to avoid these scam attempts.

To lessen the chances of getting scammed, just focus on the top coin or if you really want to put your risk to near zero, just focus on Bitcoin. Just learn how to buy, and store it and you're good to go.

-48.8 million US adults own cryptocurrencies, representing 14.36% of the adult population. (Triple-A)
-56% of American adults say they own or have previously owned cryptocurrencies, corresponding to 145 million users. (The Ascent)
The current population of US right now is around 340 Million (based on a quick google search). That's almost 40% of the total population that has an idea or at least held some cryptocurrencies. I'm not a voter from US, but I know that he's just using cryptocurrencies to boost his popularity hence, increase the number of votes that he will got come November election.

He's just using cryptocurrency to get more votes. We know how politicians work just to win. It's the same here in our country, but they aren't using cryptocurrency because they don't know it at all (or at least they aren't knowledgeable enough). Anyway, even though he talked about cryptocurrency in one of his rallies, I don't think that it will affect him and his chances of winning.

Re: Do You Think Responsible Gambling Should Be Taught In School?
That would be good but unfortunately, this is almost impossible.
I don't see it happening for some reasons. I don't think that the government will try to add this to our current curriculum. After all, it's the responsibility of the parents of the addicted gambler to teach them how not to get addicted into it or at least lessen their interaction with those gambling websites.

I would love to see this being added to the current curriculum in our country, but anything related to money isn't taught in school. I don't also think that the government will try to add this even though it will be good for the well-being of a student.

So no team will be swept in the semi-finals huh? The way the Nuggets handled game 3 was a huge statement that they are still the defending champions. They are surely back in business after that emphatic victory. The Nuggets probably need to thank the NBA management for not suspending their player ;D

It's back to the drawing board for the Wolves' coaching staff.
That would be better because that means more competition to both teams, more excitement towards the fans, and more money for the whole league. :D

Just imagine if Murray got suspended because he threw that heat pad in Game 2? The outcome would be different that's for sure because in this game, he got his rhythm early on and scored 24 points compared to only single digit in Game 2. The adjustment that they did is to rotate the ball faster. We've seen double teams in the first 2 games that's why they lost. Now if they see an open guy, they will pass it to him and from there, the ball will either rotate or he will shoot it. That's because there are times where Wolves are doing double team to a single player. Now that type of defense will not work against the defending champions. I wonder how will the Wolves adjust to this blowout loss.

Anyway, there will be no sweep in this series and just for context, the Denver Nuggets are 0-11 in playoffs when they are down 0-2 in a series. Will this be the first time that they will win after being down 0-2? Let's see how both teams will play in Game 4 days from now. :)

The Cavs stealing one game in Boston, who would have thought of that? I believe almost everyone was thinking the Celtics would make easy work in their home court. Levert's production was a surprised to me as he played poorly in game 1. Good call on the part of the coach for trusting him in game 2.
That's what the Cavaliers need if they want to win against the Celtics.
Distributed offense and not relying on one player on offense. It's just amazing to see 6 players scoring in double digits, and that would be better compared to Mitchell scoring 40-50 points yes, but still end up losing the game.

The Celtics got outrebounded in the whole game 44-31 and they only shot 8/35 on 3-pt area compared to Cleveland's 13/28. What's worse is that the Celtics only shot 1/17 from 3-pt area in the 2nd half hence, the Cavaliers took the lead and slowly got away. Anyway, looks like I underestimated the Cavaliers on this one. If they continue to play like this (the distributed offense), they might have a chance.

Both home teams lost today because the Thunder also lost to the Mavericks 119-110. Despite the injury of Doncic, he still scored 29 points. Aside from him, PJ Washington also helped the team and scored 29 points as well. Kyrie scored only 9 points, but it doesn't matter because their bench players stepped up scoring 30 points.

There seem to be a standstill in the recent crypto market as investors patiently awaits the bull run. However, I can clearly point out that there are numerous ways to explore crypto projects especially before they get listed on exchanges. It's something I intentionally explored like taking part in token presales, airdrops, Pre-Market trading as well as Launchpool and Launchpad events on crypto exchanges.

I'm amazed at the different user centric and frictionless lending protocols available that's helping to onboard the masses into the DeFi space.

Imagine ZeroLend that's currently trending is a lending protocol within the zkSync ecosystem, their poist for transparent and secure borrowing and lending of digital assets makes for my amazement how blockchain is alternating traditional finance. It makes me think about the Future of blockchain. Will BlockChain ever replace traditional banks?

I think both can coexist together, Blockchain can't replace traditional banking imo not now probably in the future. Though Blockchain could make traditional banking more efficient & more secure. Couldn't find much about Zerolend, but I found it trading here. Is this the project?
~

That's it! Well, you have a point there, traditional bank may not replace the traditional bank for now but I guess it's a possibility for the future. You seem to have followed the project, right? It's worth looking at.
No. There's no way that it will happen. There's no possibility that it will happen. There's no reason as well.
I saw the project already, and the project isn't that different from other lending protocols that has been there for quite some time. Also, I got some tokens from the airdrop.

Do you think that authorities will allow this to happen? Do you think that the government will allow this to happen? TBH, I don't see any valid reasons as to why people always think that traditional banks will be replaced. Like what others said, they can both coexist together, but I don't see traditional banks being replace now, in the next 10 years, in the next 50 years or maybe in the next 100 years.

Lending platforms in cryptocurrency will remain as an alternative way for those who know how to use it to borrow some money. Not all knows how to use it especially those old people who find borrowing in banks more comfortable. Also include the fact that in terms of trust, traditional banks are more trustworthy (for others) compared to these lending platforms. Overall, it will not be replaced, but an alternative way would be better and that's why these lending platforms exists.

Meme Coins / Re: Top MEME Coins For 2025
« on: May 10, 2024, 04:31:55 AM »
Please share your thoughts on the upcoming Meme coin Pump for the mentioned coins, as how much they will pump?
2x-3x at least.
These are meme coins, and meme coins are... I don't know but a bit attractive towards the investors because they believe that they will get higher profit when they invest into it. I don't know if it's just me, but that's what I think about meme coins.

Out of the options that you shared, I picked PEPE, but all of them will pump during the bull market (maybe except for BOME). I believe that they will double or maybe triple in price during the bull run, and after that, they will become worthless in the future. WIF might be the next meme coin that will stay on the top 100 because it's the second meme coin under Solana blockchain (BONK being the first and currently now on top 100), but maybe not. :D

Overall, I will not touch these meme coins in the bull run, and if I will, I might spend a few dollars on them and keep holding until the bull run.

2024= Now bitcoin price is $63300 at halving after one year bitcoin price...........?
The most realistic answer to that is Bitcoin's price will at least double during the bull run. I don't see it going up to as high as ~$180,000 which is almost 3x it's price after the halving event.

As the price goes even higher, the multiplier decreases as well, and in the next bull run, we might see Bitcoin's price being doubled only. I will not be surprised though if we will see Bitcoin's price going up 3x it's price during the halving event which is at around $189,000. Will it happen? Realistically speaking, it's a bit impossible, but still, anything can happen, and I would be happy if that happens, so does other Bitcoin holders out there. :)

What about you? Do you suffer because of gambling, or is it not worth the time to keep P&L since it's not significant?
I didn't suffer mentally despite losing most of my gambling funds and for me, it's not worth the time to keep up my profits and losses since at the end of the day, I already set my mind whenever I'm gambling that whenever I put some money in gambling, I consider it as a loss for me.

I don't know if it's only me, but I have this mindset of whenever I put money into gambling, I consider it as my loss right from the start because based on statistics, most of the gamblers lose their money in gambling. :D In that way, I don't feel too much regret or disappointment whenever I really lose that money. If I end up winning and at least doubling my capital, I immediately withdraw it keeping my profits, and use it until I lose it all.

Overall, my gambling experience was a loss, but I don't feel anything negative at all.
