What is going on with Tumbler Mixer?

Like I said earlier in the campaign thread: What is the point of continuing to advertise for something that isn't even accessible?

I have not used tumbler.io after I reviewed when it first started to advertise itself on Bitcointalk. It was a good mixer and I like the modern way it started with good user interface and service. We made some complaints but which were corrected and fixed very fast. But after that time, I have not used it. Do you mean the time they start campaign on this forum Altcoinstalks, the site is no more working?

No. I meant since last Thursday night, UTC time, it was not working. Not that the site was inaccessible all this time. Although I must admit I do not know when Tumbler.io decided to go radio silent in their communications, other than that it must have been since at least mid-March (me opening a ticket to ask them to open my affiliate account but they didn't answer at all).

I guess there might be some problem with their service. But we are still to hear from the campaign manager @royce777 if he had any contact with them. It would be better to know what happened. For now, I guess the campaign can still go on a bit untill it's confirmed that there's no contact from the team or their website.

I have used tumbler after the campaign started here to mix some coins . It worked perfectly
I can't remember the exact date, but I was already in the campaign.

That can be a big possibility and since the people of Tumbler is not communicating or issuing any official statement then we can only speculate on this development. Let's hope that there is nothing so consequential with what is happening on this platform and that they can come back doing business for the cryptocurrency industry. We know that the very nature of its business can be attracting not-so-pleasant inquiry from the government or even attacks coming from hackers. Anyway, let's wait for any official statement from Tumbler and let's hope it can happen ASAP!

That's why I asked if it could be that they had stopped providing service, even temporarily, due to attacks for example. What is not normal, in addition to what is happening and the reasons that we still do not know, is that there is no communication, like what happened to @AB de Royse777. It is possible that everything is by their own decision, but I don't know if it could be for reasons beyond the control of the owners or because of some request they received from some governmental power. Looking at the cases of recent weeks, it would be something that unfortunately does not seem strange to me.

Maybe the operators have been arrested or something and are unable to get in contact with Royse? Maybe arrested for something other than mixer being seized, maybe it's nothing at all. You'll all just have to wait for an announcement from them or the manager.

Trust me on this, if owners of this services was arrested it would already be everywhere in news and they would stick big warning message on their website.
That doesn't mean agencies didn't try to track, catch, arrest them and shut down their servers many times.
But If website is not working for days than it's not nothing 

A similar thing happens with the Unijoin mixer. The site is unavailable, as are other channels of communication. The manager just closed the campaign and removed the links to their services because he has no contact with the team.

Yes I saw it, and this two mixers have nothing in common, they even had different managers for campaign in forums.
I hope nobody lost coins when this happened.

I got the impression that the owners of both mixers (Tumbler and Unijoin) were not anonymous enough and this going offline is just to avoid a scenario like ChipMixer or Samurai.
For example, the CM owner paid for hosting with PayPal a couple of times, and then his anonymity disappeared.

I wouldn't be surprised if they appear but under a completely different name and brand.

To leave so suddenly and then relaunch under a different brand would leave a sour taste. It at least would've been better if they posted a shutdown notice like LocalMonero did yesterday, so that people have time to get out.

I don't think that was the real owner of CM, but some guy who paid for that service with his paypal account.
If I remember correctly real CM owner was never arrested and story ended after they seized website and everything from CM servers.

To leave so suddenly and then relaunch under a different brand would leave a sour taste.

They won't do that for sure, it would be a waste of time and money to build everything from ground up.
Everyone should watch out for all new exchanges and mixers coming in future, scammers will now try to use this situation to trick everyone.

When did that happen? Wow! One by one, every service related to privacy and anonymity is either taken down or forced to shut down! What is happening to this world. I used their service a couple of times, and it's really sad that they are closing.
