Can Paying Bounty With Ethereum Help To Stop Massive Dump?

Often time people ask why are token prices always go lower than ICO price on their first day of entering exchange? and the question seems to be difficult to answer.


I did some knowledge storm and I arrived at this;

1. Bounty hunters always want to dump and get out as soon as possible

2. The market in general might be far lower than the way it was during the ICO period

3. People sense something Fishy in the project and the want go out.

But among the three mentioned above, there are projects that are good and the market price is only have little difference from ICO period yet the token drop even more than 10X below ICO price.

Now the QUESTION is what could be the curse? and what is the Solution
There are two major reasons that may cause this; 1. Bounty/Airdrop hunters and 2. Newbies who only heard that crypto investment yield interest.

SOLUTION
My solution here might not be right but this is how I see it.
1. Pay Bounty/Airdrop hunters with ETH, BTC or any Popular Coin thats already trading in the market
2. Buy Back some initial dumpers, which will make almost everyone else not to dump any more

Substitute bounty rewards with ETH definitely can solve the case of mass dumping however if you look at the point of view from ICO, the factor that make them interested in doing ICO is able to create their own coins and gain from crypto if they are using eth instead establishing a new ICO will not be attractive to them at all.

And if you as the developers of that project, where you will get ETH/BTC to pay bounty hunters and airdrop hunters? Do you know what meaning of Initial Coin Offering? Do you know the purpose of ICO project?
ICO Project id Crowdfunding, they collect the fund by sell their tokens and after they get ETH the developers will distribute it for developing that project and usually you can say the distribution of fund at their website.
So, this meaning the developers hold big amount of ETH or BTC or Cash money to make project? If they have it, they will pay in BTC and the project maybe just around 1 month or maybe shorter. Not all project have a big capital amount yo start their project, they can run their project because the investors behind it.

You forgot one and I am not sure why you excluded them.
4. There are many investors who bought a lot of tokens at a discount during private sale and pre-sale also dumps the soonest time possible. Note that they have more tokens to dump compared to airdrop/bounty hunters.

There is no curse. People sell for whatever reason they have, there's no point in blaming sellers since it is their tokens/coins.

- I do not get the logic of paying in Eth or BTC. Why would they do that? The reason why they do a token sale in the first place is that they want to collect ETH or BTC to finance the development of the project.
- Buy back is a good strategy.

If I may add, lock all airdrop/bounty tokens and also those bought during private sale or pre-sale to 1 or 2 months. Many will not want that but there is a higher chance that the price will be above ICO once the coin or token is listed on exchanges.

Bounty hunters are not the main or the real reason ICO price drop after getting listed, bounties are usually 1-2% from the Token supply 1-2% shouldn't affect the price that much. In my opinion, the main and the real reason is the huge bonuses hand out to early investors not to mention the private investment groups that get even more bonus at some point they can buy the Token with only 10% of its real price.

Also paying with ETH or BTC is a popular demand since a long time but I can safely tell you that's never gonna happen, mostly because most of the ICO projects have limited to no budget to start within the first place and they can hardly collect their smart contract price. Paying with ETH or BTC is up to projects, we can say what we want to say but that not gonna change anything.

Last thing, bounty hunters have all the right to sell once they get their Tokens because they are not investors and they deserve to get paid for what they worked.

That's nice question, firstly it was my view I shared and secondly I want people to share their views.

Now, let me say, if a project make it clear from the beginning of their bounty campaign they should tell the hunters some percentage based on the amount raised during ICO. The amount must not be too much, paying with bounty really gives more confidence to both investors and bounty hunters. With more strict rules, although hunters earn less.

Probably it would stop dumping the token but I don't know if it is going to stop massive part.

At the end, people are attending to the bounties for ETH, well most of them. So these parts can be stopped.

I mentioned this before. I think the rewards should actually be distributed as ethics, but it doesn't seem possible for the moment. If at least a certain amount of eth escrow is kept, all of us will not have wasted their labor.

I think your proposed idea may not be suitable for new start up projects because every company want to promote their projects, there by paying with it coin/token through bounty programs. I also think there couldn't be a better ways tomake these coins popular other than promoting them through bounty activities.

One of the best options to stopping coin dumping is through effective marketing of these coins even after listening on exchanges. A continuous promotion of these projects after listing on exchange will be better, at least to increase the demand of these coins.

Well it is possible but it is not so realistic I think. Bounty Hunters work for some ICO's for their marketing and advertising before ICO.
ETH is collected during ICO. Therefore in your case, bounty hunters will have to wait till end of ICO.

Paying bounty hunters with ETH or BTC is less convenient for ICO that's the main reason that this won't happen. Bounty hunters are a small % compared to investors so if price fall after ICO I think it's not bounty hunter fault
