Stellar was piped to be the biggest competitor of Ripple at the start of 2018 with the CEO of Stellar being the Ripple Co-founder, but it hasn’t worked out that way.

Stellar is focused on developing markets and has multiple uses cases for its technology, including money remittances and the bank loan distributions to the unbanked, unlike their closest rivals Ripple who works with established banking institutions and consortiums in order to streamline their cross-border transfer technology.

Stellar has been mauled by the bear market losing over 90% from the all-time high and there appears to be no end to this down cycle.

The recent news from Grayscale the crypto investment giant investing in a Stellar fund had no effects on the market of Stellar. The Stellar team even gave away $125 million worth of XLM tokens in an airdrop to try and help exposure and adoption to no great success.

Stellar do have some good partnerships in the likes of IBM, Stripe, Deloitte and Shift markets.

IBM has signed a multi-million-dollar deal with the Australian government to provide blockchain solutions to the country, which range from defense to home affairs systems through to data protection to help save the government’s money and resources.

The partnership with stellar could mean big things for the project moving forward as IBM and Stellar could incorporate the XLM token into the Australian government with the news that IBM is even making a Stellar-based stable coin.

But my biggest concern is that the Stellar team holds over 80 billion of their own token supplies, it has been noted over the past months in the bear market the team has been dumping their tokens on exchanges to fund the project, but when you have 80 billion tokens to dump when will it end?

People in the crypto space invest into a project with the hope of adoption and making some money on their investment but when the project itself starts to dump onto their investors it looks really bad for the project.

For me, Stellar has a very potential future. There are many people that put their money on Stellar because It has a chance to be a competitor of ETH or XRP someday. Stellar is one of my favorite coins also, I choose this coins yet it is popularity.

All cryptocurrency is very risky. Even all jobs have risks, like if I work at Mc Donalds it certainly has risks.

But if you see Stellar working with the company, then all of them can be a reference if Stellar is good to invest. DWYOR

Stellar has the same developer from Ripple and also got a strong community when they did many airdrop, so I think that this is a promising coin to hold for long term

I believe its a good investment especially for long term. Its one of the few coins I plan to invest on for long term, I would take the risk because I see potentials it.

Stellar is one of few coins in the market that really have something to offer not like the most of the other coins. I like Stellar more than EOS and I think they have a great potential in the future, investing in Stellar at the current price is for sure not that risky but remember every investment must include some level of risk.

see many projects starting to adopt stellar, I think this is a good opportunity to invest, and I'm sure indirectly, stellar prices will rise slowly.

Stellar itself has a speed advantage at the moment. I made more than a dozen transactions, they took place instantly.
Concerning the price is now difficult to say. There are different thoughts about her.

Stellar is a safe coin to invest both for short or long terms. I don't know why you state that it is a very risky one. As you know that Stellar has many good partners and it also has shown us great improvement till now. In addition, the current trend triggers the value of Stellar to rise significantly. So, I think it has proven as a potential coin to buy.

Stellar has a chance to compete for ETH or XRP someday. It also has a strong community. For sure it has high long-term potential. All altcoins are a good investment if you are only interested in trading them, just be smart and keep an eye on your investment. It’s possible that something with security and interoperability will replace bitcoin at some point, this is only the beginning of crypto/blockchain taking it’s place on the world stage after all, but will it be Stellar?

These two topics are very close to water and fire.
Water and Fire will continue to be hostile to each other and be needed by many people.

Stellar is only the scapegoat of a water and fire (good and risk) because from the trading of Gold, Oil, Ethereum and Bitcoin have water and fire that duel each other at prices every day.

Yes, that's right. Every investment have risk..But I think Stellar is good for investment. I see Stellar is suitable for long term investment, you can buy when the price is still low and hold it for several months.

Yes, mate. I agree with you. Really Stellar is a good coin for long term investment. Now it’s very potential and secure coin for investment. It’s team trying hard for increasing their popularity. Personally I like this coin so much.

I believe that the team should make sure that the platform uses good and popular new projects in society. Stellar is mainly concentrated among developers in Asia and African countries, but apparently very few good projects are being developed.

Stellar is a good coin to invest this is not a dull projects this is a potential altcoin so stellar is the worh coin to hold in the past six months stellar growth is high you can see that in the previous stellar chart this year still Bitcoin domination is too high so there is no doubt stellar is a good coin to hold this year because altcoins session will come soon.

Stellar recently had some problems, many of the Stellar network validators were disconnected from the network during the first half of the day on March 6th. This resulted in a delay in posting transactions, forcing some cryptocurrency exchanges to close XLM withdrawals. I successfully bought plums from "weak hands", now the rate has recovered.

Cryptocurrency is full of risks and it is very difficult to guess the price, whether today it will go up or the price will go down tomorrow is unpredictable.
Stellar also certainly has a very dangerous level of risk because of its unpredictable price changes, just like Ethereum Binance and Ripple.

Stellar is totally Fair coin with high potential to go high in future . bought 5K from the beginning and an additional 5K a week ago. Still thinking to buy an additional 10K Stellar this week and hold my 20K for at least a year.

It is highly recommended to choose Stellar coin because this Stellar coin is so extraordinary that it has a very large market cap and I like things like this as a long term investment.
Stellar Coins provide a very different innovation than other coins and even Stellar Coins are really good at transactions, very cheap fees and very easy to trade in all markets.

I agree with you, but the fact is that many investors or traders prefer coins from new projects which in fact can provide faster profits. 
I think this Stellar is suitable for long-term investment, buy now and take profit later.

As an investment for a long-term investment in this project is still suitable, but still the project is very unpredictable and anything can happen to it. Maybe in the future big whales will jump into it to raise its price.

If you talk about market cap, Stellar is large market cap.
But I think this coin need proses to gain popularity, because I see trading volume is still low.
maybe will take several years again, when stellar more popular I think stellar price will be more expensive.
In my opinion this coin is good for long term investment.

There are definitely risks in investing in cryptocurrencies, so before investing we must first understand the advantages and disadvantages.
There is still an opportunity for us to invest in Stellar. because the price of Stellar is currently relatively low and there is a possibility that it will continue to grow and develop, especially since Stellar has collaborated with Visa and IBM.

me too, stellar is also one of my favourite coins beside top 10 coins.
I always invested and collected top 20 coins in my wallet being the first choice.
If I have free money I will buy another coins such as XLM, NEAR, ATOM.

It is very interesting to discuss Stellar as one of the prioritized coins to buy and hold until the bullish season. 
Some people think that Stellar can compete with XRP and in the future, that might happen.
 But if it competes with ETH, it's still too far away.
Stellar rank is number 27, Ethereum is number second on CMC, it will take a long time to compete with ETH.
