Wars are mainly of interest to arms manufacturers (one of the most powerful and influential industries in the world) and a few politicians who, of course, will not go to the front to fight, nor will their children or relatives. The reasons are money, geopolitics, natural resources...

Yeah, the defense industry loves war, because they sell arms to both sides of the conflict and can also get government contracts worth billions of dollars without actually doing anything useful.

It is often the case that some politician's buddy is a board member of one of these companies. google "Halliburton" for more information.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: The anti-mixer arm of Congress
« Last post by NotATether on Today at 11:07:50 AM »
I read that the EU will ban mixers and USDT soon, so all those who continue to use them would be treated as criminals? Let's be honest, "they" actually consider us criminals in a way, because it's not a problem to invest in BTC through full KYC CEXs, it's a problem to be your own bank and that bothers them the most.

Well, USDT doesn't have any sort of privacy at all and is not a coin I will be shedding any tears over if it gets banned. DAI is the better usd-pegged stablecoin with no asset freezing feature.

The government always hates the privacy. They want to know everything about the citizens. Meanwhile we are fighting for the right of privacy. Crypto world offers the privacy, it is against the government. So, it is not surprising if the government dislike mixer services. The want to control everything, including the ecosystem of crypto business.

They want to know everything, that's true. I'm not sure that they will actually use all that data though.

It seems that Girona is satisfied with their current ranking. Because for Girona perhaps second or third place is no longer a priority. because they were quite happy with getting tickets to UCL. And maybe next season Girona will fight harder for the title again in Laliga and will fight hard for the UCL.

Real Madrid achieved their two objectives, in my opinion
- go to the final of the Champions League (and there is a risk of winning it)
- arrive first in La Liga

all of Xavi's arrogance died down and fell asleep after the first year, but Ancellotti is looking to the long term and is patient

Solana Forum / Re: Is Solana coin a good investment?

Solana has the best community across all the chains!

after the bitcoin community of course
yes I must say that the SOLANA community has grown a lot and works hard to help itself, imrssionate
it is certainly more alive than the ETH community, but I would never say that it is stronger and more active than the bitcoin community

It depends on what you want to do and how you want to do it
there are methods but everything has a risk, if you earn a lot, you risk a lot
I've seen methods that give you 15% APY but the best method so far has been my lending bot (now turned off) which gave 34% APY
I tried to sell/rent it without success

The only difference compared to the past is the fact that we had ATH before the halving instead of afterwards, which is fine when you think about it because we had the ETF business during this time, and that meant tens of thousands of bitcoins were bought just from there, and a lot of hyped people bought bitcoin because of it as well, so all of that combined made the price go up. Look at the price at the start of the year and look at it now, some people feel bad because price went down recently, but when compared to year to date, we are quite high. That is why I feel like bull run will still come, we just had a different start to it.

yes ok but what does this mean?
If we have already reached one of the ATHs, will the ETF factor lead to Bitcoin having an ATH on steroids? This is very interesting if you think about it, we don't know if ETF will have a multiplier effect, it's a new factor
he certainly had it in the halving phase

Girona and Barcelona are almost equal in points and are now fighting only for the second position in the points table. 36th match Girona has already played and after playing 36th match they had a chance to move to the second position in the points table but they lost their last match due to which they are still in the third position in the points table. Girona certainly had a chance but they dropped points in the 36th match on the other hand if Barcelona get full points in the 36th match but it will be a very difficult matter for Girona to retain the second position in the points table. Girona should have planned ahead and performed accordingly.
It seems that Girona is satisfied with their current ranking. Because for Girona perhaps second or third place is no longer a priority. because they were quite happy with getting tickets to UCL. Lukaku is only on loan from Chelsea and that will end at the end of this season unless Roma wants to buy the striker who was wasted by Chelsea. Roma must not be careless at this time because the remaining two matches could make them lose their ticket to the European League as well. because currently we can see that in 7th place Lazio is also approaching Roma with 59 points or 1 point different from Roma. Roma must somehow win the last two matches. Even though the opportunity to get a ticket to UCL is almost impossible, Roma must at least secure a ticket to the Europa League. I believe De Rossi can do it.

Exactly, it's only a one-year loan
what will happen next year? It is undeniable that Romero Lukaku pushed Roma with his goals, this is one of the few good things that Jose Mourinho did.
Now what will they do without him? How do they replace it? It's not easy

Bitcoin Forum / Re: What Happened To Bitcoin?
« Last post by NotATether on Today at 10:43:03 AM »
Personally, I prefer pairing my assets with BTC on Bitget's smart portfolio to accumulate more BTC whenever the paired assets pump against it, because of it enduring value.

I actually do all of my transactions in bitcoin and never buy or sell any, as I don't have the means to do so. So it's out of necessity, really. It is quite limiting but that was the way it was intended to be used.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: The impact of crypto on our lives
« Last post by Uruhara on Today at 10:42:54 AM »
I have friends who work in crypto and they support their families on that salary. They work for a DAO and it's not trading or developing code. The legal market is massive now with everything going on with lawsuits and regulations. Maybe some of the work is not guaranteed for a longer period with a regular employment contract but if you believe that crypto is the future and you don't require that kind of stability then I think there are plenty of opportunities
Currently, more and more people are trying to support their families just by trading in the crypto market. In fact, several local crypto projects in my country also recruit skilled young people who have insight and ability in programming and blockchain. And they get a salary in developing the project. And yes, the point is that crypto has really become a part of the lives of many people who know crypto. So it is not surprising that in the future crypto will be difficult to separate from everyday life.
