For me, it's legitimate. But most of the ICOs are SCAM this year. As a result we don't get tokens. Airdrop is the only way to make a larger community for every project in the ICO. Or maybe there are other things that cause you not to get tokens. Or maybe your KYC is incomplete and not as stated in the requirements in the ICO Project. That can happen.

I've never participated in one because they want people to sign up to different things, like a list of five items, to get it, I don't consider those as airdrops, but more like bounties disguised as airdrops.  I did find a site that discusses best coins for 2018 and there was like three or four links to air drops, and those asked nothing.  However weather or not those coins will have any value, no one knows. I just randomly googled air drops and airdropsmob came up and all the aidrops require signup or follow, or registering at their site with personal info.

airdrop is just like bounty campaigns and Yes we can earn through airdrop but it's just very small and were just like wasting our time because most of the time it pays us very small.

Airdrop is actually fine. What is clear Airdrop is the place of the Bounty Project which I think is very profitable to do business in it. But if you don't get money from your work on Airdrop, you may get a Bounty Project Scam. Chances are like that, because there is still no money going into your wallet to date.
