I also saw a flash news today that the Binance CEO ask Nigerian government to release Tigran Gambaryan who has been detained since February. And this might generate another problem with them again because Binance is adopting international law to the case.

...but holding on to old coins doesn't actually guarantee profits in the long run, there are old coins that are currently at the verge of a crash and obtaining them or holding on to them right now could still be considered being zombie hunted :D :D.
Yes it is not all the old coins profitable but it is still good to invest in old coins because they have been in the space for years so there is this mindset that they can do well one day and it will not collapse but the new projects are not like that you will have faith in the them because many came and don't stay long.

Someone has said that before and in this year bitcoin has hit all time high twice. At first it hit $70k to surpassed the previous All Time High of $69k and secondly it hit $73k as the second All Time High so if you are saying that we won't see another one again, I would not doubt you because it has been predicted by others too. But many people are still waiting for the prediction of $100,000 All Time High in the year or early next year.

$90 million is a huge sum of money and I don't know why all the countries are just focusing on cryptocurrency firms because the attack is seeing like many countries now. Sweden should take it easy with the cryptocurrency mining firms because if they stay in the country to mine, they will have more benefits from the firms. There are some times companies also dodge to pay tax and mine illegal mining and the the government find out, they pay huge amount.

Exactly they are planning to remove p2p from all the exchanges, and they are still saying that it is because the exchanges dey manipulate the Naira which for me it is not true and na their policies naim e dey weak well well. The Nigerian economic policy can't withstand the test of di crypto firms because the economic agencies are too much corrupt. If not this na very simple something. When a company come to country to do business di company have to register and start work nd regularly pay tax which di government don set for dem so there will be no argument from anywhere again. They think dat na di exchanges be di problem of the Naira. Even dem stop all di exchanges or delist naira from all di exchanges, dollar no go come down because Tinubu himself e no dey use naira but dollar.

I think we can use decentralized exchanges because before den their prices sef go dey okay. And also telegram price and CeX are almost the same na just #200 different, so we can manage telegram wallet for the main time until we get better place to trade. This a weti I see today.

I hodl

BCH
DOGE
ETC
LTC
BTC.    all old

I hodl Solana newish coin
These are the best for now and the new coins that coming to the ecosystem are the zombies in the space because they are wandering around without platform and looking for whom to devour. Holding old coins are much more secure and danger free than the newbies in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. I am holding three coins now except Ethereum and Solana because of their transaction fees. But once it reduces then I look invest in them to see if the are good to invest.

The dip this week made me realise that I've been too narrow-minded in my dealings in this industry. For the past coupled weeks, I had been so fixated on trading and trying to find the next good pump that I overexposed myself and take heavy hits whenever dips happen. This week'sdip hit harder than others, and lessons have been learned. Now it's time for me to try my hands and luck in other areas while I wait for a correction. For the first time in a while, I'm in search of random events, contests and campaigns hosted by any reputable companies. I'd be happy if you could share some here.
I don't think the dip was harder than others but the dip came unexpectedly and because of that so many people lost their trading. And that is why if your a trader, you should also invest in Bitcoin so that you balance the equation. Now you are complaining that the dip was not in favor of you but investors are happy that there was a dip like that because they bought bitcoin at the dip and hodling it for the next all time high. People are even praying for the dip to come now so they can buy more.

My view is that other commercial banks are behind all these band of wallet, due to that wallet banking are over thrown them, many do dumped them and go for online banking because they are fast and reliable, network always intact, with your smartphone you don't need to be on queue just be in your comfort zone and transactions will be moving smoothly,
Before I contribute to your comment, let me advise you, next time don't post one after the other and if you does, it is call spamming and you be tag with spammer on your profile and it will affect you badly in the forum so don't do that next time when you post one comment, you have to wait for another person to post befoe you post another o e again and not one after the other. Then coming to your comment, you just tok the truth. I also believe that commercial banks are part of the banning cryptocurrency by federal government to o line banking. People not using commercial Banks to make transaction for them to deduct money from them.

This is a notification I got today on my screen.

Well done making things easy for us, but the mixing fee is high. Make it moderate so that those who have small coin can also use your mixer.
Transaction fees have gone down significantly as of now, you can pay 40 sats/vb and expect a reasonable confirmation rate. It also helps if you reduce the inputs, so consolidate your transaction if possible. I don't think it will go as low as 10 sats/vb in the following week so even if you want to consolidate your inputs you probably need to pay some considerable amount of fees, depending on your transactions. It should be cheaper to use the service if you manage to reduce the inputs compared to mixing multiple inputs. CMIIW.
Okay, I thought the mixing fee is different from the Blockchain transaction fee. Well for now the Blockchain is not congested and the transaction as come down to a minimum rate $1.88 with 21sat/vb and id this applicable to coinomize mixing fee then it is very good. Because when I saw the fee last month and compared it to the one I didn't last year I was like, wow!!!.

Forum related / Re: Badges that encourage spamming the forum..
« on: May 06, 2024, 12:11:21 PM »
To attain that badge we must have at least enough time and effort because contributing to the forum needs at least couple of post to target what you really understand and what you can totally contribute .
and like what admin said above this is just to see account activity and maybe behavior so maybe you are interested achieving that mate but i think I will pass for this one  ;D :D
And posting that number of 25 to 50 must make the person to comment out of f point because the number is high and he will like to meet up the number to attain the barges therefore spamming will be unavoidable . And as you said, for one to contribute meaningful to the forum the person needs time to think and know what he is writing, if not the person will be posting trash to meet up the number and achieve the badge. Spamming should be discouraged and avoid and post only on the topic you can write well and understand what you writing.

Ethereum Forum / Re: Gas fee on ethereum
« on: May 05, 2024, 10:42:14 PM »
Depends on the place you are making the transaction. Is it in exchange or on chain wallets? For now Ethereum transaction gas fee is high so I advise you to wait for some months to see if the gas fee will reduce. And you should not in hurry to sell your coins because Ethereum will rise again. So if you sell your Ethereum now, your will be the loser of the altcoin investment.

There is a popular saying that a tree cannot make a forest.
Bitcoin was doing well without the altcoins and the creation of Altcoins causes the deviation of bitcoin from the real course of invention. Bitcoin was created to pay things online to remove inflation in the world and also to reduce the government control of currency. And today that purpose of bitcoin to pay things is not found in anywhere in the world except few. And this is caused by the creation of Ordinals and the competitive cryptocurrency market caused by altcoins. The real purpose of bitcoin was very good for all but investment has taken over the market. Though the bitcoin helps altcoins to grow because when bitcoin rise altcoins also rise and I don't really for the idealis school of thought that altcoins also helps bitcoin. I will not agree with that part of the thought. If there was no competition bitcoin would have been a good avenue to reduce government power in the economy.

Have you also had this statement that our people regularly keep saying that "free food dey purge"?
Yes if you understand this adage you would know that you shouldn't have trust any platform or keep diluting their mere words without come to realities. It's true that airdrops are cool ways of starting the cryptocurrency space but you should also know that most of them has turned it the other way round where they don't always want to pay their airdrop participants rather, they uses them as an avenue to create and generate traffic for their site without you earning any from them. From most topic and some discussion I have engaged myself with it's known that airdrops where paying out huge time but of lately the only airdrops that I know is legit are the one who holds some specific tokens and in return for that, they will receive a specific amount as holders.
Airdrop is not something people would even participate because even you have the token some of them there is no where to sell and it will be in your wallet for sometimes years or months until the token is listed in an exchange. Everyone has their encounter ways to start up the crypto market. I started mine with bitcoin in bitcointalk but the awareness was given before fully coming to the forum. And I don't think airdrop is a good start to the cryptocurrency. It looks like a scam to me. Though people are making from it.

Nigeria may be taken for granted by the federal government so that this problem is not handled well immediately. In contrast to large countries that have good legal powers, they will definitely quickly resolve this problem. Returning the assets owned by many Nigerian citizens who have become victims and cannot withdraw their assets should be one of the main priorities at this time.
The government from outset never wants her teaming Youths to progress or to come out from poverty and they like to cage them so that they will use them to do thuggery and other political works dat was their aim so when all these cryptocurrencies came out and the brilliant Youths key into it and use it to make money and it angers them so dem just dey fine all means to section all these exchanges because they can't have access to bitcoin and have control over it. The more they try the more we also advance. After now the real p2p will come to play. Even tht time when they banned Bitcoin and people accounts were also blocked, yet those boys went to the banks and discussed with the bank managers and transferred the funds to another account and withdraw it. There is always a way out.

How is it possible now that vendors would demand or accept BTC for services and expect their customers to pay for it looking at the current state of BTC transaction fee and coupled with the fact that their is always a delay in transaction confirmation. I do not think anybody would likely do that now and moreover, the BTC transaction fee is a but much higher if it is to be converted into some currency equivalent.
I know of some guys that accepts Bitcoin but currently, they were telling me that since this transaction fee issues started, some of their customers do not pay in Bitcoin but rather, they would prefer to pay in the local currency and him too do not pay his vendor who accepts Bitcoin because of the transaction fee and you can see that this case is vice versa, nobody wants to lose.
For now the transaction fee is low and shops can accept bitcoin as a payment method if they want to but because of the state of the Nation, I don't advise anyone or shop who dey sell things to accept bitcoin in their businesses. However bitcoin transaction fee is not something one can rely because it volatile like bitcoin itself. But one can take the advantage of the low fee to accept bitcoin. And merely looking at it, it is better to use fiat currency because with it you no dey pay any transaction fee. Either cash or transfer. And I have seen some boys paying with bitcoin to buy things.
