The only problem is that investors should choose the most reputable CEXs and spread the risk by using multiple CEXs. The collapse of Mt.Gox and FTX is the best warning for all users, after all, CEXs are just a place to trade, not a place to store too many assets.
I also use a lot of tier 1 CEXs and related to that risk depends on how each CEX provides security and compensation for its users.
But CEX is not recommended to be used as a storage place for main assets, because it is very risky.
Seeing how Mt.Gox and FTX are, as you said, it can be a lesson so that we as users are more careful and concerned about the assets we have.
That's right. It's still better to to think of the possible risk that might happen to our funds just like what happened to these two exchange. This is the issue that is unknown mostly to newbies which they should know and understand the great risk they might face if ever they plan to hold assets in exchanges.

Better to use a wallet than using CEX to store assets. By doing this, the only one who hold our fund is ourselves, not the exchange or anyone.

Gambling discussion / Re: Do you tell your husband you gamble?
« on: May 12, 2024, 11:30:26 PM »
What if the case is that your wife is into gambling even before your marriage? Without you knowing that gambling is already been one of his hobbies that she never told you anything about.

You see, it's all about having a deep discussion with your wife. It's not about supporting or not but more of understanding why she would do gambling despite the family's financial status. It's more on receiving and giving a word to help her realize and the impact of gambling to your family. If you just suddenly stop supporting your wife, who know what will happen to your family.
Before entering into a domestic relationship, it would be good for us to be open with our partners, don't let them find out after marriage or they find out about our habits from other people, this is one of the factors that will create a rift in the household.

However, they will definitely accept everything if they really love us. Whether something is good or bad can be communicated, and it would be better if we were open before marriage.
Well, that's the common thing to happen for most people. Being open on everything and confessing everything they need to their partners, a situation where there were nothing they could hide and give all their trust to their partner.

However, there are some people who choose to hide something from their partner, just like gambling. It's possible to have a thought of being unable to be accepted by their partner if ever they were found out about this kind of hobby.

If you are gambling with you husband's money and have won  a big jackpot then it is most likely that your husband would be happy if you tell him about it. If your family is not financially very well off and you are gambling with your husband's hard earned money and making a big loss then it may ruin your marital life.
I totally agree with you because if someone gambles with her husband's money, she should definitely inform her husband about the gambling. Whether you win the jackpot or not, making any decisions together with your husband is good for both of you. And if the husband's family is not very well off and if the husband is a day laborer then that husband should never gamble with his hard earned money in this case I will never support that wife. Now, if my wife spends the money I earn through gambling, it will definitely cause trouble between us as husband and wife. Especially in the case of husband and wife after marriage, it is better for the wife to completely give up gambling because in the husband's family, the wife must take care of the important work of the family, she can never take part in gambling. In the family of a husband, the wife will bear the responsibility of the whole family and raise the children like human beings, that is the job of a wife. So after marriage I don't support wife's gambling because wife is one of the nurses to take care of the family.

Some of the businesses that are popular in my country are the first ones in their respective market, which is hard to dethrone given that they always improve by looking at what features can they take from their competitors.
The owners of the businesses must know how to maintain their market. They must always improve their services and the quality of their products. If there is no innovation in the businesses, it must be overtaken by new competitors. The pioneer of certain businesses may have its own advantages. However, if they can't have a proper way to maintain the businesses, it must fail to survive a long time.
Yes this must be the case. There are smart business owners who can manage to do well with their business for a longer period of time. We all know that the trend in businesses can easily be exchange with a new trend or what most people call as seasonal.

However, it is indeed hard to overcome those kind of businesses that's why it is better not to think of it. Focusing solely on the progress and development of your own business is a must and never look on the progress of other business competitors. Because if you always look at the other people's business, there would be a limitation on the imagination that you can have for the better of your business.

Suggestion Box / Re: [Sugestion] Old Posts Remove
« on: May 10, 2024, 11:04:47 AM »
Greetings,

I have noticed that a huge amount of Posts from the Bounty Board is available and there are no use of it. So to speed up the Forum, it is suggested to review and remove the old posts, like atleast older then 2020. From 2020 - Till Now, is more then enough for all the users to check previous data.
Your suggestion reminds me of a discussion where one member requested to delete his account. One question asked to the admin if all of the posts made by that user will also be deleted. The answer is no. The reason is that it will affect many things, as per admin "creating a mess in discussions on the forum".

It is true that you have to be mentally strong to be successful in life. There are many sectors where mentally strong person can do better compared to others. As far as gambling is concerned I believe luck is the only thing you need most.
Being lucky is one huge part of it. It has a huge factor but depending on the game that you are playing. Especially if you are playing a skill-based game, or any card game in which you can turn the table against your opponent, to be able to do that, your mental health or support should be in great shape.

This was already published on our local board on the other forum, but I decided to post it here to discuss it with other members.

  • Tingin niyo ba kailangan pa mag convert from PHP to PHPC gaya ng ginagawa natin kapag bibili tayo ng USDT? Any idea lang, I know hindi pa published ang info na ito. So, panibagong gatasan kaya nila ito dahil alam naman natin na may malaking gap sa buy and sell sa exchange nila.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Is Bitcoin Too Expensive For Me?
« on: May 09, 2024, 10:03:12 PM »
In my opinion, there is no harm in storing BTC temporarily in an exchange wallet, as long as transaction fees are still high and waiting a few months is not a burden for a holder. Exchange wallets are also not as bad as you might think, as long as you don't store BTC there for a very long time. Just wait for normal transaction fees to return, then you can immediately purchase BTC to store in your personal wallet.

In fact, high fees will only prevent us from selling BTC, and that is in accordance with what we are doing, namely holding for longer. As long as there is still a positive trend regarding BTC price movements, high transaction fees will only have a significant effect on people who frequently use it for transactions.
To manage high fees transaction by sending bitcoin currently hold it awhile in exchange wallet and keep purchasing without waiting lower fees decreasing, after having more sent it once in your own wallet if not really trusted with exchange wallet. I think transaction high fees of bitcoin sending is fluactive some time high and other time get lower, take advantage for sending after fees decreasing and don't stop keep purchasing bitcoin behind price get correction.
High fees of bitcoin transaction just taking few days only as usually, then we got chance with lower fees and most faster take time for transaction when sending bitcoin.
Well, that's the only choice if the investor is purchasing BTC using DCA method with a small amount. Instead of spending the little amount purchased only to fees, it's better to keep or hold it a little long in the exchange. This plan would be fine as long as there's still a plan to transfer it to his own wallet until the fees have decreased. It can be either target a certain amount of purchased (twice or more) before he transfer it to minimize the cost of transaction fees.

Basic questions about this forum / Re: What is Karma?
« on: May 09, 2024, 05:09:06 AM »
Karma is your merit if you can post good quality and if your post is informative enough then members from a senior member and above can give you karma. But karma is both positive and negative. If you post outside the rules and if your post is not constructive you can get negative karma but positive karma is used more than negative karma in forums. You are getting negative karma means your post was not constructive and you posted outside the rules and then you should be careful and try to post constructively next time.
No, it's been a discussion since last year that karma is not the same as merit. Karma is simple as liking or disliking the post of other user. If you simply don't like the post or for example, someone posted a AI chat or something you can determine as a scam, you can give them a negative karma. And if someone answers your question or at least give the information that would be helpful to anyone, you can send karma.

Karma is not the same as merit because merit is limited, in karma you can send an unlimited amount of karma to anyone.

I wouldn't even recommend discussing your salary from your regular job with people you don't trust.
Do people really do this? I'm really surprised if that was the case. I've been doing some door-to-door interviews in the past, and even if I find someone who likes to boast about his achievement, they never say how much they make each year. At best they said they can buy one or two motorcycles each month, but that's that. That's still pretty dangerous though, but no one ever discusses their salary openly. I don't think that's necessary to tell people you can use Bitcoin to pay for stuff anyway.

If we talk about crypto though, I often find people discuss it openly, but never specifically mention that they hold Bitcoin or something similar. In fact, I found people like to discuss it online instead. Maybe it is different for each country, but that's my experience so far. Most people that I know who participate in crypto are from forums or social media, to begin with.
Yes, there are people who's fine discussing the exact digits of their salary, which they don't know that it is confidential and shouldn't be discussing to anyone. Even if the person you are talking to is someone you trust, and I believe even with your partner, the exact digits shouldn't be discussing.

In crypto, that's the same as me. I often see people with crypto investment in social media, especially in cryptocurrency group discussion, posting the amount of investment they have with different questions/flexing their money, and any other reason. Which they shouldn't be in the very first place.

Gambling & Crypto Casinos / Re: STAY AWAY FROM 1XBIT
« on: May 08, 2024, 01:14:52 PM »
I really think that 1xbet and 1xbit have the same owner because 1xbet has so many well-known social media influencers actually promoting it.
Yes, as per OP, 1xbet is the parent company of 1xbit. They have the similarities in everything and the way they initiate their promotion is also the same.

And guess what, I just saw recently an ads from this influencer. Though, I don't follow those kind of influencer, it just suddenly appear in my feed. I missed to get the name of the page and to block it as I am rushing going home. The promotion and finding for more victim still continue, that's saddening.

Maybe because they choose to do their campaigns on the other forum. As we all know that the traffic is less here, we can see the improvement compared in the previous months but maybe it is still not enough for the gambling campaigns. It's not time but we will come to that, for sure sooner or later.

There are two gambling campaign who have tried to bring their campaign here, which are bons.io and winz.io, they don't stay for longer and decided to pause their campaign after a few weeks.

I don't know how hunting after bounties is a full time for some people, maybe they have been used to it anyway, but am not still convince about how rewarding bounties have been to many of its hunters, even though despite they were aware that some of these bounties resulted to scam, because they are not rewarding and fails as the project remained unsuccessful, if we are interested in doing counties, we should not solely base on them alone, we can attached other investment aside bounties to help us have higher earning opportunities.
Or it's much better to find another full time job. Having investment does not make you have a stable income that you can use for your daily or monthly needs. If investment and bounty hunting are our only way to make money, I don't think it would be sufficient.

Besides, investment does not always make us profitable. Compared to having a full time job is much better or become an entrepreneur.

yes, it's mandatory for crypto holder to check the price of their holdings. Specially for Bitcoin in the last week or so, we have seen swings, from $63k-$57k and now we are back at $63k again.

So from time to time, even if you are short or long term holder, you must check the price and see the current news that could have affected this price movement be it negative or positive news.
In fact, it's not as important as you think, because basically the price changes are not caused by your activity, but by market activity... Long term holders should not check prices too often because it could affect their emotions in holding... target Long-term investments are time-based, so you may only need to monitor prices if you have free time...

just knowing the price without taking action seems to happen more often to long-term holders.
Mandatory or not it all depending on the investor. Some investor wants to timely or spend at least a little of their time on a daily basis to see the status of their investment. I think it also includes the safety condition of their investment. Even if it is stored in a wallet, it's not bad nor a waste of time to check it. The level of importance of checking the investment solely depends on the person.

Even if it can affect the emotions they have, the decision will always be on the invedtor itself. Whether they will let them have a fear with their holdings or not, that's all part of being an investor.
