Title: Ethereum gas price ridiculously high
Post by: tinakoya on August 13, 2020, 12:34:35 AM
I just tried moving some token from my wallet and realized gas fee is 275 gwei, how can gas fee be ridiculously high. What is making it so high everyday. I think if Vitalik don't do something about this, people will start dumping ethereum. This upgrade of ETH 2.0 better solve this gas issue.

Vitalik Buterin acknowledged the problem and proposed to implement the improvement of EIP-1599 - this is an increase in network bandwidth from 12 to 16 million Gwei. But I have little faith in this until they stop this madness with DEFI nothing changes

I did a small transaction two days ago. It still looks pending. I don't know if the transaction will be enabled. I wanted to withdraw $10 from my ETH wallet. Gas fee was 114 gwei. Which I edited and gave 98 gwei. Now pending. But I also think if Vitalik doesn't do something about it, people will start dumping etherum. However I am hoping for better results of Ethereum 2.0.

There are some transactions which are very large amount. There is no problem in deducting more fee from them. However, if we make a small transaction, if I charge a large amount of money, I lose. Those who are uaer of ethereum are all but rich people. So I think Vitalik should think a little about gas fees. All types of users will not be happy if so much gas fee is required. Again, small transactions are not possible. So it is a matter of concern.

Was any timeline given for this improvement because it's now a matter of urgency. This should have been anticipated on and this advancement should have been done when DeFi craze started.

Even if they dump ethereum, they will still need ETH to transfer their ERC20 tokens unless people will pay this ridiculous gas fee to remove all tokens. Solution need to be implemented soon

That's right, I also just wanted to send a token from Im-token to the Exchange, but seeing the very high cost I canceled my sending. Hopefully this problem can be resolved soon and GAS can come back cheap. Many tokens are stored in the Ethereum wallet, it will be very detrimental if the usual sending is very high like this.

It is clear what happens today with the gas determined by ethereum is very disturbing, because all transactions will affect what will happen with the specified gas, because by sending something that is not big but the same as the cost of sending a little of course this will be a problem in itself .

But this gas will have nothing to do with investors still holding Ethereum to be an attractive investment. I hope this problem can be resolved and can return to the beginning.
although the goal is to speed up each transaction, it must also be adapted to the circumstances.

Why should i send out 5$ worth of token with 10$ gas fee worth??

I'm sure Vitalik is aware about the issue and will immediately do something to resolve this matter in order to maintain Ethereum reputation.

We are in the miners world, miners season, they are busy taking profits and earning alot with the ridiculouus gas fees flying around lately, but is it right ?
The blockchain was supposed to preach freedom, ease of transfer, and cheap rate. but it is becoming expensive each day.

This is not the blockchain way

When the market is going to be high the gas fee is regularly increasing day by day and when the ETH touch the 10,000$ at that time gas fee is more high.

It is better if this thread continues to blow up so that it can be read by Vitalik Butterin.
If this thread goes down then we definitely can't see any progress towards cutting costs from sending Ethereum.

Ethereum does have a community but it shouldn't be that Ethereum is also going crazy because the transaction fees are huge and it really makes me uncomfortable (for now) on Etheruem.

This is not only gas that happens at a quite expensive price, but it seems that it has penetrated into the cost of wd made by the exchanger is also very large. I don't know what phenomenon is happening at this time, because the income is indeed small but all the fees charged are quite expensive so that I was never able to do WD because the limitations that occurred were not in accordance with the fee requested.

If you are not in a hurry, you can try to send on weekend. The network seems to be less congested around those days similar to Bitcoin.

Vitalik Buterin acknowledged the problem and proposed to implement the improvement of EIP-1599 - this is an increase in network bandwidth from 12 to 16 million Gwei. But I have little faith in this until they stop this madness with DEFI nothing changes
Yeah, it's DEFi that's driving this gas madness. Unfortunately, they (eth devs) can't do anything to stop the hype. EIP-1599 could be implemented but that wouldn't slow down people from sending with high fees dictated by the miners. I guess they (miners) are trying to reap all the rewards before the full transition to POS.

Was any timeline given for this improvement because it's now a matter of urgency. This should have been anticipated on and this advancement should have been done when DeFi craze started.
Even if there's a timeline, don't expect them to be followed. Just think of many times eth 2.0 was delayed.

Lol. i doubt Vitalik even reads forums now aside from their local eth forum. He's getting plenty of criticisms on twitter too and that's more than enough for him.

I also have read many investors said Ii caused by Ethereum transaction is very busy.

Transferring money with Ethereum is not very smart these days. I definitely do not use it unless it is mandatory. It is necessary to choose other coins and tokens as much as possible.

We've seen a performance that exceeds the 2018 ico craze, hopefully it will return to normal soon.

Nowadays ERC 20 assets holders, traders and investors facing a major problem of Ethereum gas rate . Every transaction minimum gas fee 1.50 and above. If I transfer 10 dollars equal assets then transfer fee above 2 dollars and after exchange withdraw fee minimum 5 dollars. So I get only 3 dollars.

I think this is a big problem at this moment for ETH transaction. After the pandemic situation came gas now looking for very high and we are very upset because maximum bounty give small amount of dividend and if we lose maximum of it at the transaction time, how can we do work with bounty? So i think it should be revised.

thanks.

This is a big problem at the moment for those of us who are involved in cryptocurrency i.e. crypto investors or bounty hunters. There are currently a small amount of token payments as a reward from most bounty projects, most of which cannot be sold due to high gas fees. And as a result of deducting high gas fees from the dividends earned by trading, there is not much. Hopefully this problem will be resolved soon after the full implementation of Etherium 2.0.

Yes, the price of ethereum gas has been much higher than before. If I have to pay a lot of dollar fee to transfer any coin. But now you have to pay a transaction fee of 3-4 dollars to transfer that amount of token. We are facing a lot of losses. I request you know what this transaction is 70 percent down.

You are right, it shouldn't be like that, it is too expensive. I have tried to send Ethereum from MEW to exchange wallets and I experienced the same as you. Surely, it was too expensive, how can we pay more than $4 for the transactions. Not only about it, but also the transaction takes more time than usual. I think it is caused by many Ethereum holders moving their Ethereum to exchange wallets currently.

Unfortunately, nothing can be done about this and you need to wait for the moments when the transaction price falls and only then make transactions, but while everyone is waiting for Ethereum 2.0 and while the DeFi hype is going on, transaction price will continue to rise.

The price of Ethereum Gas is always changing all the time, it is not always expensive nor always cheap.  If we transact when the Ethereum Blockchain is full, then the Gas price will automatically increase, maybe if we experience something like that we can wait until the price drops first.
However, it will really be a problem for us if it turns out that the price of gas does not go down, while we have to make transactions as soon as possible.  Really this is indeed a dilemma, I also hope that the Ethereum side can solve this problem.

Ethereum gas fees is too high this is not good for small traders and airdrop, bounty players  because we spend high transactions fees to every small transactions actually nowadays idex , uniswap exchanges are not compatible for tradings due to high gas fees.

Due to the increase in ethereum gas fee, it is becoming difficult to process small transactions. Because it costs a lot to make small transactions. That is, the amount that is being spent is not that amount. So I think not everyone supports ETH 2.0. Gas fees have had a huge impact on the market. May reduce the popularity of ETH. Because if the amount is free, traders will reduce trading on ETH. So popularity and Angel investors may lose.

It seems like a good idea, but gas prices on the ethereum network are currently on the rise and it is very difficult to wait as more and more investors are using the ethereum blockchain network on the DeFi platform, this will lead to competition between users by increasing gas costs which the miners will then confirm with an increase in Hashrate to speed up transactions on the Ethereum blockchain network.
Waiting is sometimes very tedious, but this is what happens, we can send tokens with high gas costs or wait but it takes a while

Lately, I have been doing a transaction and noticed that the amount of gas fee has increased a lot. As a result, I could not make that transaction. It will cost me about 1$ to transact. So since I have less amount. So I couldn't transact. I think if this continues, people like us who have bounty hunters will suffer. Every day many hunters are served token. It will not be possible to transact these. Because it will cost a lot to do small transactions then. So I think this gas price should be reduced at least a little bit.

In fact, the Ethereum transaction gas fee is so high that to send a coin from one place to another, one has to pay such a high transaction fee that people are starving. That day I saw a coin being sent from one place to another having to pay a 10$ transaction fee. But I can sell that coin on the seventh floor. If this happens, the Ethereum market will be destroyed.

yes, this problem has been discussed a lot in several forums and topics that exist but it seems it must be admitted that there have been updates and improvements that are quite decent even though it seems that it has not returned to its time. I have even read that someone is annoyed with how much ethereum is taking fees that are too big and he has to deposit up to $ 50, for me this was a very strange surprise but we will continue to listen to more information. because there could be communication errors that occur to experience extraordinary things.

I have monitored the current price of Ethereum gas, indeed it increased too much. Not really sure about the reason why it increased so high, but I assume it may be triggered by many people moving their crypto assets. I think this will continue a long time or even it is probably hard to lower again as some parties take advantage of this. Well, maybe Vitalik needs to do something or people who can lower it to plan something.

I can't do the transactions due to increase in ethereum gas fee. Because I always do some small transactions. This small transaction costs a lot. For example, it costs a lot of money to transact in the amount of 10 dollars. As a result, I have suffered. So I have stopped using Ether Wallet at the present time. I started using other wallets. If this continues, the price of ethereum and the number of users will continue to decrease.

I previously had hopes that gas charges would somehow return to normal. However, if the defi platforms continue at this pace, we may not see affordable gas prices like before. Now, either defi platforms will lose popularity or ethereum 2.0 will come and return gas fees to normal.

Despite all these developments; I can't understand new projects persistently wanting to use ethereum network. There are many networks that work better. It is very pointless to insist on the cumbersome structure of ethereum.

The price of GAS keeps changing all the time, nor is the price always high.  The increase in the price of GAS is influenced by the full number of transactions on the Ethereum Blockchain, so that users continue to increase the value of their GAS so that they can more quickly get the tokens they send.  But unfortunately, the high price of GAS has caused many people to be disappointed because they were unable to send their tokens.

I worked on some projects. But the projects have not paid me yet. Because the team of projects wants to pay me. But ethereum gas is not paying me because of the price. Because it costs a lot of money. Because they need a lot of dollars to send me tokens. So they don't want the dollars to be lost. There are many like me whose tokens are stuck like this. So I think ethereum gas price has become a problem.

The biggest tragedy of the present time is the increase in Ethereum transaction fees.  The popularity of this popular coin has started to decline due to the increase in transactions.  People are now moving away from this platform to other platforms.  If this transaction fee is reduced as much as possible then people will be more inclined towards it again.

Please be patient, the problem comes from Ethereum's scalability, currently only 15 tps. As announced by the Ethereum #DevelopmentTeam , ETH 2.0 will launch at around 45 tps, which is three times faster than currently, meaning transaction costs are also expected to drop by three times.
In the future, the speed could be 6400 times faster meaning we will enjoy 100k tps :)

Currently the biggest problem is gas fees.  No one wants to sell tokens anymore because of the extra gas fees.  This has become a very serious problem. Everyone thought that the gas fee would be reduced after Ethereum 2.0 lunch.  But so far it has not been reduced.  If it is not reduced I think Etherium will suffer a big loss.

Increase the price of ETH gas fee in straight line with the needs and the number of transactions currently being processed on the network. Indeed, recently the price of gas is very high compared to last year. Maybe this also has something to do with the coming of Ethereum 2.0

Gas fee is a threat to many projects. For those who have a lot of budget, gas fee may not be an issue. However, the budget of Ray projects is low, for them the tokens transaction on the ethereum platform is very inconvenient.

The OP's hope relies heavily on developing Ethereum 2.0 to reduce transaction fees for Ethereum and this is almost everyone's problem with this.
I think this is indeed difficult to happen considering that Ethereum has now been changed to version 2.0 and maybe just a little less than before.
If I look at this, Ethereum 2.0 should further ease Ethereum transaction costs like in 2016 and 2017.

I agree up till this moment eth transaction fees are something else, imagine asking for $90 to move a token worth just $24, that's ridiculous but what is the cause of this high gas fees? It's simple, whenever the Ethereum Network is overloaded or congested that's when you will start seeing high TX fees such as this, so if you don't need to sell or move the token urgently, kindly wait till the network is less congested, then you can use a low fee to move your token, and yes the ETH 2.0 which will soon be out is expected to solve this issue.

For some reason, there is no one answer from the ETH team, which initially stated that the first phase of the Ethereum 2.0 update will bring at least 100 times cheaper transactions and a bandwidth of 100,000. But apparently we have not yet achieved these results.

According to the developers, this situation should be resolved soon. At the very least, to reduce fees, we must manually assign transaction costs. Of course, in this case, the transaction will take much longer than the usual period.

Yes you are right.  I understood well from your post and became clear.  Gas fees seem to be back to normal.  Now I think this fee is increasing depending on the investor

In fact, the biggest problem is that the gas is free.  To exchange any token, you have to pay a certain amount of gas fee to transfer the bar.  Sometimes the amount of gas fee is more than this token.  So if the etherium token gas free was less then there would be many benefits.

Ethereum 2.0 is just a decoration of Ethereum's development prospects.
I am not sure Ethereum will continue to be supported if the cost of sending the token alone is not offset by the cost.
The logic is, when we send tokens and the tokens are cheap, GAS is more expensive for the transaction fees and it is ridiculous to do it by a normal minded person.

The price of Gas is very high indeed, this really makes people disappointed with Ethereum. Actually we can wait for the price of Gas to fall, but that is too long and very tiring. I am afraid that Ethereum will be abandoned by a new Crypto project, if Gas prices continue to be high.  Because Crypto projects also don't want to lose, they spend a lot of money just for transaction fees.

Truly, I had this experience recently and I was shocked cause of the gas limited I was charged, and that will affect me in withdrawing my altcoins in my Etherwallet. this is no problem with vitalics.
the cause of rising gas fee prices is that ethereum is currently going up very high in price and its heavy usage causes gas fee prices to rise high.
actually there is a way out other than using ethereum to transact, namely tron. tron has very low transaction fees and is no less fast than ethereum.

However, investing in Ethereum is very exciting ;)

Ethereum authorities have no control over gas fees. They are still using old version of Ethereum1.0 which has a lot of limitations like
1. It's proof of work.
2. Slow network (it needs enough time to be confirmed)
3. Scalability limited. (Don't make many transactions per second)

But after fully completed of Ethereum2.0, we will get solution from it that we are facing now.

You should pay attention to the constant growth in demand for Ethereum. Plus, the platform is overflowing with usdt transactions and defi projects, which practically take up most of the bandwidth of the Ethereum network. to date, the only explanation for what is happening is the increased use of the Ethereum network, which exceeds the pace of development of the platform.

There are already many who are going to the Tron blockchain for the speed and low transaction fees, and if this remains the same every day it will be more expensive and more people will leave.

Yes, we have seen ethereum gas fees go down when the crypto market situation shows price drops, transaction fees range
between $0.8 to $1.2 and I think investors are starting to hold on to the new tokens that are currently available for them to sell when the price goes up again.

This is because ethereum was reducing the popularity of extra gas fee currencies. The transaction was closed for a long time. So now a lot has improved.

As market is recovering from correction whoever knows, gas price might increase again as EIP 1559 is still on the way which might happen in July. Till than IDO's hype might fuel up again and gas price will be increased like previous months before happening this correction. Lets just wait and see that it'll increase again with the rebounding of market.

Indeed at that time the price of GAS for Ethereum was very expensive and difficult for our brains to accept but now I see GAS for Ethereum going down.
When I reply to this thread the price of GAS ethereum is around 13 Gwei which is the cheapest and the most expensive is around 16 Gwei.
Maybe in the future GAS for Ethereum can return to the price of 5 Gwei or the highest it is around 7 Gwei. My hope .

I heard that V. Buterin said that Eth 2.0 will not be implemented until at least the end of 2022. Now the market is not active, the Eth network is not very busy, and therefore such small transaction fees today. But tomorrow everything may change - the activity on the market will intensify and we will again see the horse prices for transfers in the Eth network. Now there will be a war of networks for market dominance, and the one who offers the most favorable terms will win.

3 days ago I used the Ethereum chain again to send some tokens, the cost per transaction was less than $1, but as @vaysar says, the network can get congested at any time if it is used a lot again. If finally ETH 2.0 does not arrive until the end of 2022, the only solution we have is the hard fork that will be implemented in the chain next month. Soon we will have a definitive solution, a little more patience.

But when the Etherium price was between $500 and $1000 the transaction fee was much lower.  But whenever Etherium Price starts pumping, the transaction fee has gone up.  But then I saw that everyone said that maybe after a while the transaction fee will go down.  Due to such transaction fees, the amount of investors has decreased a lot.  Now the amount of transaction fees is just increasing.

if gas costs are as expensive as this means that many are using ethereum to make transactions, making the ethereum network even busier and having very high traffic, forcing ethereum to increase gas fees to overcome the surge in transactions on the ethereum network, until now this is still a problem that remains a problem. still haven't found a solution.

So far, no update looks good to lower gas costs, some developers are still busy with ethereum Altair and they need to do some testing, we will wait for gas costs to drop or be forced to make a transaction if the tokens we have are really valuable

Since the last 48 hours (when the market has had a significant drop), the gas price for ERC-20 transactions has fallen and remains between $13 and $20, while DEX transactions like Uniswap remain between $35 and $50. Although it may not seem like it and it may seem that they are still very high fees, they really are not, now is when users with few funds should take advantage to move their tokens. When the market recovers and grows again, fees will be even higher than a few weeks ago.

For most users, the transaction is high and it is difficult to withdraw a small amount of coins. They need to do something to increase the rating of their project, we probably won't wait for the update to kill the minimum transaction.

Ethereum gas fees have increased tremendously. Due to which small investors are facing a lot of trouble. Because they do less amount of transactions, due to which they add more fees, the maximum part of their amount goes as fees.

In my opinion, the sudden increase in the price of ethereum is because many gaming platforms and NFT are using the ethereum network, making transactions crowded and causing gas costs from ethereum to increase, hopefully in the near future gas costs can come back down.

That's right, that's what happened, the high transactions that occur on the Ethereum Blockchain make ETH Gas go up very high. But in my opinion this is not fair, as Ethereum is taking advantage of this condition to take large fees, and this is very detrimental for some people. I hope that, despite the high traffic on the Ethereum Blockchain, Gas Eth is still cheap.

Ethereum is for the rich people only right now. It is useless for small transactions. I think that your transaction more likely would burn gas and wont be transferred. Why would you even want to withdraw $10, the fee will be almost identical to your withdrawal amount.

Btw, people wont dump Ethereum, because its value grows and it has almost of 1/5 of market cap. This is simply impossible to dump this.

It's really only a problem for users with little funds, I think the whales don't mind paying a $100 transaction fee considering the volume of money they move. The real problem is for those users who just want to move their tokens to earn small amounts or invest small amounts of money in some projects, usually the transaction fee is worth more than the amount of money being moved, and that's something the developers should have fixed a long, long time ago.

If it's like this then I can only surrender to the situation of Ethereum, we can't lower the GAS Ethereum fee because everyone can increase the GAS Ethereum if they want to speed up ERC20 or Ethereum token transactions.
This decentralized system and type of POW coin makes it very natural for Ethereum transaction GAS fees, the only way is for us to switch to Ethereum versions of Binance Smart Chain, Polygon Matic, Avalanche or Fantom.

That is something that has always happened and will always continue to happen, the whales don't mind paying $30 for an ERC-20 transaction or $180 for an Opensea transaction. It is an issue that only affects users with low funds. What Ethereum developers need to keep in mind is that there are far more low-funded users using their chain than there are whales, and that sooner or later may cause a stampede of users to other chains.

It is very clear that the gas fees has no immediate solution, as the fees is always higher when the crypto market is pumping. I just think the miners are deliberately increasing gas fee ones the market is green, a situation that is even given  other networks the opportunity to grow. Since I can not use the Ethereum network due to high gas fee, I had switched to the Tron network, and all my transactions to other wallets, exchanges, are through the Tron platform.

Many investors are deterred from investing in the Ethereum platform due to excessive transaction fees. Ethereum itself knows that they have the problem of excessive transaction fees due to which many investors do not invest in their performance, they are working on this problem and trying to bring Ethereum 2.0 to the market. For a long time we have been hearing that Ethereum will bring 2.0 to the market but so far they have not succeeded. If Ethereum 2.0 successfully enters the market, the problem of excess transaction fees that Ethereum has will no longer exist and the number of investors on this platform will increase greatly. Ethereum 2.0 version will definitely work much faster than the current version and additional features may be added in the new version. We may have to bear additional transaction fees until the new version hits the market.

It seems that what you are afraid of will happen, and it will probably be difficult to reduce gas costs even lower if the price of ETH gets higher, resulting in an indirect impact on gas costs. they have tried to make changes in order to reduce gas costs, but it is still not optimal. It can be realized well, but there is really no choice that can be made apart from the fact that many projects avoid using it because there are many other alternatives available.

So no one is forcing anyone to do x-actions. Absolutely everything is voluntary. I've had cases where I had to pay $45 for a single transaction.

P.S. Yes, yes, and it happened (because I could earn much more) than the amount per transaction.

It all depends purely on the involvement of the users. Do you think gwei just goes up for no reason? Of course not. As soon as there is activity in one or another network (on which you can potentially make money) then the gas fee goes up.

Yes I know it's by choice and ETH chain have loyal users. I also trade more on ETH and I have paid more than 45$ for gas many times, yes there are other alternatives but there's more sensible projects on ETH thus more users really and off course less jeets compared to other chains.

Ethereum's gas fee is currently slightly increased. A few days ago I was doing a transaction in Ethereum and noticed that its gas fee has gone up a bit. I think Vitalik will know about the problem. Hopefully he will take this issue of Ethereum into consideration in the future.

Yes I know it's by choice and ETH chain have loyal users. I also trade more on ETH and I have paid more than 45$ for gas many times, yes there are other alternatives but there's more sensible projects on ETH thus more users really and off course less jeets compared to other chains.
I had to pay because there was an opportunity to earn more than (amount per transaction).  Therefore, I did not regret a bit and paid as much as I needed. Everyone has the right to choose the project that he likes the most.

P.S. For me, Ethereum is the basic cryptocurrency, + ecosystem, which I have been using for more than 3 years and will continue to use. What you do is entirely your choice. + I believe that it is ETH that will overtake bitcoin and become the #1 cryptocurrency (of the world). I guess you could say I'm a fanatic in that regard.  8)

Just now staking on the Ethereum network charges a fee of $40 per transaction, currently gwei is indeed high prices are rising or maybe the stakers are competing in the Eigen Layer which will close later tonight Feb. 9.

Even though fees are expensive on the Ethereum network, it is still the network that is most widely used by the community, they have staked a lot in their various ecosystems, no matter how much the fees are expensive, but they see the points that will be obtained in future airdrops with their new projects.

I bridged from ETH to Mode and ETH to Lio and then to Puffer the total fee on the Ethereum network was $85.

If there are people that are enjoying these ridiculous fees on the Ethereum are Validators because why will some pay such a huge amount for fees just to interact with a smart contract, Ethereum never gets better but the maximum security protection it get has made people like it so much.

There was Ethereum Dencun upgrade that took place this week, it was to surpress the gas fee on the main chain and the side chain and what I have learn so far from this is that if we are been honest with ourselves, Ethereum chain fees will never comes down as we want, if they ever comes down, then the layer 2 chains will be useless because why should I bridge my coins to another chain when my chain is literally low but it's because ethereum isn't cheap people are using layer 2. If Ethereum improve and reduce fees to a cent, many layer 2 will dead.

You should do the second task of the puffer when Ethereum prices are low so that Ethereum transactions will also be smaller. Currently, Ethereum transactions require high fees because market conditions are experiencing a very aggressive increase and many coins have high transaction volumes, including transactions using the Ethereum network.

I was aware of this but I rotated capital on other platforms to get points with other chains after which the funds moved to Puffer but at the end before closing the gwei went up because maybe many people were staking on Puffer or on Eigen Layer so the gas went up.

After the FOMO ended the gas returned to normal but all staking has now been closed to get Eigen points so many people have stopped now, but I am still quite lucky despite spending quite high gas.

Currently it seems that gas fees on the Ethereum network have decreased compared to a few days ago. It's about 35 gwei. However, we cannot guarantee that in a few hours the gas will continue like this, or decrease again, or even increase again. Because gas costs also depend on the condition of the network. So, it cannot be determined stably. However, before we send ETH tokens or coins, we should first check the sending costs, whether they are increasing or not. This is to reduce the costs that have to be spent, right?

I just tried moving some token from my wallet and realized gas fee is 275 gwei, how can gas fee be ridiculously high. What is making it so high everyday. I think if Vitalik don't do something about this, people will start dumping ethereum. This upgrade of ETH 2.0 better solve this gas issue.
This happens constantly   imagine the gas fees goes really badly nowadays because of ETH2.0 version ? yeah there are several times that we experienced gas problem but not that high as we have since 2020 .
so Was wondering if 2.0 do really helps the project and the users? or just  the miners?
A couple of years have passed, and the issue remains unresolved. I spent $40 to execute a swap on Uniswap. Although there's optimism that the next upgrade will alleviate gas fees, we find ourselves still waiting. With a potential bull season on the horizon, the situation may only worsen.
why still using the service of this currency when there are more options to use?
i wonder why we kept using them when we are given other coins to use for, because since i experienced that super high fees back years? I never used ethereum but yeah i kept my holding instead.

Well, there are some cool projects we flip on ETH and the profit outweighs the gas fee sometimes. I do use other chains but sometimes, we can't avoid it I guess
exactly mate ,sometimes we cannot escape from using the network so we need to deal with it  .

But indeed that you are good at it using other chains as what I also do specially when Bitcoin and ethereum is truly having so much fees.

there are many chains we can use the problem mostly is that the exchanging fee as well , because there are lots of exchange that has this attitude.

Of course, I really remember that all cryptocurrencies experienced a bull run, including Ethereum, which was able to increase its price until it reached $4700, but you need to know that coin price movements will not always increase; there will definitely be a moment when they collapse, then the next moment will be a moment of price recovery, and I really hope that the Ethereum price can be like it was at the end of 2021 again.

Normal season mate , have experienced this couple of times for my years in Crypto so whenever the gas fees increases like what Bitcoin experiencing ? then I uses alternative crypto instead.
lets learn how to deal with the fees increases so we will never be bothered each time it will arrive, and it is also best to have funds in cheaper fees coins like doge and Ripple so whenever you needed to transactions there is available for you.

According to my predictions, the price of Ethereum will exceed ATH 2021 mate, because almost all of altcoins will follow bitcoin's performance.  We all see bitcoin has shown good movement at crypto market, bitcoin has touched $ 52K before having, it's a good thing. So, Ethereum will do the same. Let's see

that's true, gas fees will always depend on traffic which will change at any time.  We cannot estimate the gas fee with certainty.  High gas fees of Ethereum is the old problem which the ethereum team didn't solve this problem yet.  I can only make transactions at certain hours where the fee is likely to be low. Even that is not certain.

Indeed, several ways can still be used to get cheap transaction fees like what you are doing, but if that is the case then the use of cryptocurrency transactions cannot be fast and have cheap fees as people are talking about, Ethereum must immediately overcome this problem so that its users do not move. to other platforms which have now been created as a substitute for Ethereum which has fast delivery and very cheap fees.

At least Ethereum developers are currently trying to provide a solution to this problem. Very high gas fees have indeed become a polemic for Ethereum users because currently many new projects are being developed which have cheaper transaction fees and have quite high speeds than Ethereum.

So far I see that Ethereum enthusiasts are not as busy as they have been in 5 years then before transaction costs increase.

It's best if we always discuss the high gas fee from ethereum, it won't be resolved because the ethereum team doesn't have a solution to solve the problem. You can move to other cheaper smart platforms such as Binance smart chain, Solana, Cardano and TRON.

If the Ethereum platform has been criticized the most, it has been the criticism of Ethereum's excessive transaction fee problem. Investors have been enduring this problem for a long time. Before investing, an investor first checks which platform he is investing in, if he sees that he has to invest in the Ethereum platform, then there are many investors who change his platform and invest in another platform. I will hire $200 if there is a fee of $100 then I will definitely change that platform and accept some other platform for investment. Ethereum transaction fee is unusual and always it is abnormal sometimes it is not normal.

For me, ethereum fees has never been normal ever since this issue of high gas cost started on the ethereum network, I long time ago stopped investing in any project that is built on ethereum, most especially if the project Is not listed on any exchange yet aside from decentralized exchanges like uniswap, I just ignore such project completely, or wait and buy it when it gets listed on a centralized exchange, and even at this, I usually don't withdraw, but just leave the tokens on the exchange since withdrawing also cost a lot in fees as well.

For me, I think the only reason why ethereum is still at the top is because of the many whales who live there, there are alot of ethereum whales who don't mind the high gas cost, they pay it, and right now, it's alrweady looking like the high transaction cost on ethereum blockchain is already a norm and everyone has already gotten used to it.

You are right, whales still holding ethereum will mind the high gas fees because they use quite large funds to invest. For those of us who only have a small amount of funds, this gas fee will be very high. Ethereum still has many whales, because apart from holding bitcoin they also hold ethereum. I've also switched to another platform since ethereum never solved the gas fee problem.

Surprisingly, whales already know that gas fees are quite high, but many still use them to carry out transactions on Ethereum, this shows that Ethereum still has high demand among whales who have a lot of money to carry out transactions with very large amounts.

Usually the price when Ethereum transaction fees go down is because the Ethereum network is not being used by many people so that transactions become loose and make transaction fees which are usually high go down and are quite cheap to use.

At least with the high transaction fees Ethereum still has fans and the price can be very expensive as it is now and this is proof that transaction fees are not an important problem.
However, it will indeed be better when transaction costs can be reduced so that it can provide satisfaction to Ethereum users.

Ethereum's strength in decentralized finance, gaming, tokenization, token creation, and smart contract innovation are the main drivers of the price increase.

And yeah, reducing gas fees will have a broader impact on the Ethereum ecosystem.

That is what really surprises me. This topic is already 4 years old. Can you image? Ethereum has been expensive for at least 4 years, people still use it and some projects still build their projects on Ethereum blockchain. That is something I cant explain. When we have alternatives that are cheaper or have other advantages, people still use Ethereum. Now since Ethereum price has grown, it is even more pricy than used to be. At least , dominance of Ethereum among all cryptocurrency is decreasing over last few years. Maybe that will help to reduce gas prices.

Maybe now the price is rising due to the influence of the ETF which will start accepting Ethereum trades so that investors and whales who have a lot of money are trying to take advantage of this issue to make a profit.

The ETH blockchain is very robust, perhaps it is for that reason that we have good projects on the ERC-20 network and it is very true, in fact the latest projects that I have seen on the ERC-20 network of ETH are very good projects. and that makes the difference, so I think that's what makes this blockchain interesting, however GAS is something that is very Catastrophic for me , to throw Money away you have to have a lot of money for it to be worth the expense. fee, in reality this is something that affects a lot, for Someone who does projects and gne of 50usd or 100usd it is not profitable at all, it is an impressive thing, now, the deviations at these heights have already solved the problem, but alas Things continue to present themselves like this , they are people who don't Understand and are on the Verge of a new ATH.

The ecosystem on the Ethereum network is indeed trusted and very strong, the community support that Ethereum has is also very high, it is certain that when there are good projects created on the Ethereum network and they have a team that suits their field, many will be successful.

That's what we have been observing, even though Ethereum gas is very high, but why are more projects on Ethereum successful? Ethereum also still has a large community. Even though other platforms are cheaper and faster, why can't they overtake ethereum.

Due to high gas fee levels on the Ethereum platform, its popularity is much less nowadays than in the past. Yet massive projects on the Ethereum platform and those launched on the platform have been successful on almost all platforms. If gas fees are lower on the Ethereum platform, popularity will return and mass investors will start investing. However, nowadays there are many big investors due to which its price is at the highest level.

This is natural, if the technology is not developed further, it will make this technology obsolete, eventually many will leave a program as good as Ethereum. However, if Ethereum developers are able to overcome the problem of high transaction fees, then it is certain that Ethereum users will not leave and will still provide support to Ethereum.

We believe in the blockchain network, in ETH projects even though the fees are very high, they prefer the network because it has been and has been present all the time in the best projects, so their confidence is strong, I couldn't say less than the other networks, because the other networks are quite strong and very well programmed like the ones that are sounding now like Solana, Polygon, but the ERC-20 network itself is very strong and provides security in part, security is always very good for every project, in this aspect we can say that things are different, the degree of confidence of the devs is more inclined towards the ERC-20 network regardless of gas costs.

In 2017 there were many projects, congestion was created and everything, but the network was quite powerful, it still remains that way, except that to solve the gas problem it takes much more time and programmers working day and night, that That was what Buterin said about this.

I often read a lot of complaints from investors about the ethereum gas fee problem, it is expensive and the ethereum team never had a way to solve it. We know this is an old problem and has not yet been resolved.

The popularity of the Ethereum platform has not decreased compared to before because the problem of excessive transaction fees of Ethereum is not new, we have seen it for a long time. Already the number of investors on the Ethereum platform is low only because of its high transaction fees but the popularity of Ethereum has definitely increased in that proportion. Many people may try to avoid this platform due to the problem of extra transaction fees of Ethereum, but there are many investors who invest a lot of money but do not see these transaction fees too big. Ethereum has grown in popularity. However, if the problem of high transaction fees is solved, its popularity will increase manifold.

As for my opinion why gas price high, due to network congestion, causing driving feels up to all transactions when it is crowded ,gas prices tend to skyrocket to compete the transaction ..many coins offering lower gas payment ,  this is there advantage but  still they' can't be overtake Ethereum any more people still patronising Ethereum. Why ? Because they still believe Ethereum will dominate the market in future.

Exactly, when transactions become very busy, miners need a lot of time to validate them, so miners might choose a transaction method that has a fairly high transaction fee to be completed first, which is why transaction fees become very expensive when the network is busy.

That's right, when traffic is high the gas fee will go up, we should look for when traffic goes down before making a transaction. I often do this to get around high gas fees. Actually, currently we can choose cheaper platforms, such as BSC, Solana, TRC20 etc.

When you want to make transactions with relatively cheap fuel costs, using another network may not necessarily be the right way because not all coins are registered or supported on other networks. So remain careful when you want to make cryptocurrency transactions with different networks.

Before making a transaction with another network, check whether this coin can use another network, I think almost all coins can use the Binance smart chain. because BSC is an alternative smart contract platform that is very popular after ethereum. And so far I haven't had any problems when switching networks to BSC and TRC20. Have you ever had problems with this? What coin and network do you use?

Everyone can use the BSC network, but there are markets that do not have liquidation, so when you sell tokens using the BSC network as long as there is no liquidation from the market, you will never be able to sell the tokens even though there is smart contract support from the BSC network.
