Title: Why aren't there so many projects like Brave?
Post by: MrSpasybo on March 08, 2021, 03:45:58 AM
We have been using the internet for many years and assume we have access to information globally for free, even though we still have to pay for the internet :)

Network service providers & big technology companies like Google, Facebook ... are forcing us to watch our ads, collect our data to sell to advertising partners that we do not get back anything. It's really annoying, so projects with profit-sharing idea come to users. One such project is Brave.

However Brave is not the first project, I just don't understand why Brave's unique idea was not followed by other #DevelopmentTeam s. Publish0x is a paid website for readers & authors but it is not a browser for users, it is not a regular tool that users use every day.

What do you think is the reason Brave is unique in the prize-rewarding browser? Will Brave be competitive in the future?

Currently we have a number of major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge but none of the platforms support user rewards. The reason may be that they are just web browser tools, they don't have advertiser partnerships, and their tendency to pay users is just in theory. Search engines & social networks still consider the user as sheep :)
If Google's Chrome becomes a competitor to Brave, I think Brave will find it difficult to dominate this market.

The unique thing about Brave is that Brave is a medium for searching and if it continues to be used, it will get a gift token from the Basci Attention Token.
If it continues to be used for searching the internet it will generate BAT and earn cold money and it will make us productive against blind wages.
But sometimes there are also many members who complain when using Brave browser and they don't get BAT prizes and that makes me sad.

I don't think there will be more Brave competitors until crypto gets much more "mainstream"... Companies like Google, FireFox and Microsoft have established names and people know they can trust them and feel safe using them. Getting them to switch is like getting someone who loves to drive a Ford to switch over to a Chevy. Something major will need to happen where they not only know they can earn money using it, but also feel safe and actually know more about the money (crypto) they're earning. Just my opinion anyways..

Maybe they set up incorrectly and cannot receive a BAT reward for viewing their ads. The BAT price is very good and it would be a pity if Brave users miss out on this very potential token ownership.

Brave managed to build a community because of its privacy themed products. I used to buy that ideology but not now. I switched to Firefox and just use presearch.org as my search engine. I don't have to watch ads to earn crypto, I automatically earn just by searching. Another good thing about it is you can also buy some keywords and earn as well. You can check link on my signature (third)

I am quite curious about the bonus that presearch pays the participants. I have been using Brave as my primary browser for about 3 years and now I only have 21 BAT ~ 20 USD :)
Hope the presearch can pay us more, Brave + presearch would be a great combination!

I've been using Brave for a few months, not for what they pay, which is very little, I just use it to try new things, and at the moment it works well. Regarding what you ask in the OP @MrSpasybo, this morning I read an article about a project that deals with the same topic, Deeper Network, an infrastructure for a distributed network and without servers, where user data can never be logged, leaked, hacked or quoted. The launch of this project is near and I am paying attention to it because I like the idea.

I'm getting about 0.12 PRE per search reward. My highest reward I think was around 2+ in one day. The current price per PRE is $0.1

So yeah, rewards depends on how active you are and probably on the variations of your search.

You can also get rewards if you refer more users.
