Title: Tether Stablecoin Expands Its Reach to Another Blockchain.
Post by: Malam90 on March 13, 2021, 01:55:18 AM
Tether has announced the expansion of its USDT token to an eighth blockchain.

Tether, the world’s largest stablecoin by market value, is now live on the Solana network.

In an announcement Thursday, Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino said he believes USDT's expansion to its eighth blockchain will support "a dazzling array of projects" in decentralized finance (DeFi), Web 3.0 and blockchain gaming.
Tether is already live on seven other blockchains – Algorand, BCH, EOS, Ethereum, Liquid Network, Omni and Tron – with a total market cap of at least $37 billion.
The stablecoin is linked 1:1 to the price of the U.S. dollar and widely used in cryptocurrency markets as a way to quickly move funds to and from assets and platforms without using traditional finance rails.
There have been controversies over the assets backing tether, with the issuing firm not providing regular professional audits.
Solana's "high-speed" blockchain will allow holders of USDT to transmit their tokens quickly and cheaply – "often for less than $0.00001 per transaction," according to the announcement.  Source Link (https://www.coindesk.com/tether-stablecoin-expands-its-reach-to-another-blockchain)

Solana is indeed extraordinary because it is able to provide extraordinary surprises in the cryptocurrency space and this will really make the best opportunity for Solana to be able to adapt to Tether.
Solana also provides very cheap transaction fees for one Tether delivery, this is truly extraordinary from the development of Solana so that it can compete with Tether from erc20, bep20 or trc20.

Tether will launch USDT on Polkadot parachains. We chose Statemint - one of the sidechains of this system. At the same time, the stablecoin will appear on the Kusama network, which acts as a testnet on Polkadot. This will allow us to understand the benefits of parachain technology, transferring assets between different chains.

When I read this article, it's really very good to be a reference for us if we have to be smart in looking for the best opportunities in transaction costs.
Solana provides the best opportunity for us to be able to profit from each transaction and we should not miss this because this is a discussion about sensitive money.

Tether will issue USDT on the Hermez Network, this will speed up the transfer and save the commission, which is now simply unaffordable, there is hope to use the ZK-Rollups technology, which will save money.

Though i didn't know much about Hermez network and just search about it to get more info. But i had quite information about Zero Knowledge Rollups aka ZK-Rollups technology as i used ZKswap which use this technology. TBH, everyone will go for Hermez network based USDT as ZK-Rollups can change the whole transection system for its low-cost token transection functionality, IMO. Also, exchanges should adopt this first, else everyone won't get any info about ZK-Rollups and continue to use TRC20 based USDT tokens.
