Title: Why Monero is different?
Post by: Niko on September 22, 2018, 02:22:43 PM
Why Monero is different?
Monero is secure

Monero is a decentralized cryptocurrency, meaning it is secure digital cash operated by a network of users. Transactions are confirmed by distributed consensus and then immutably recorded on the blockchain. Third-parties do not need to be trusted to keep your Monero safe.

Monero is private

Monero uses ring signatures, ring confidential transactions, and stealth addresses to obfuscate the origins, amounts, and destinations of all transactions. Monero provides all the benefits of a decentralized cryptocurrency, without any of the typical privacy concessions.

Monero is untraceable

Sending and receiving addresses as well as transacted amounts are obfuscated by default. Transactions on the Monero blockchain can not be linked to a particular user or real-world identity.
Monero is fungible

Monero is fungible because it is private by default. Units of Monero can not be blacklisted by vendors or exchanges due to their association in previous transactions.

It's true that Monero is very different, but I think Monero is a decentralized digital currency that is very good and Monero has a good chance of being used for investment.

Monero  is different because it's a secure private and untraceable currency system  and aside from that monero is the leading crypto currency with a focus in private and censorship resistant transactions.

Monero uses Cryptonight instead of SHA-2. There are currently no ASICs available for Cryptonight, which was designed to diminish the performance gap between CPUs, GPUs, and ASICs by demanding comparatively large amounts of memory (which are commonly available in today's PCs but very expensive to have in ASICs). This means that CPU mining is still possible, whereas in Bitcoin, CPU mining is utterly pointless. The hope is that this will encourage people to mine with existing computers, preventing too much centralization, like we see in Bitcoin with a few Chinese pools having the majority of Bitcoin hash rate.

The one you mentioned was perfect and no one missed it.

But if you continue to be in privacy, only some people will believe that.
That's why MONERO is not strong in the top 5 Coinmarketcap.

Yea, one of the deference between monero and other coins is that Monero has privacy embedded in its protocol. Where Bitcoin and other coins offer privacy features as an option, Monero is one of few cryptocurrencies where privacy is both default and required. XMR is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency.

I agree with your opinion about XMR is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency.. Monero has been used by several illegal activities and hackers because untraceable. This coin is really safe and good private transaction. I see many investors already used it for their transactions.

Monero is one of the best privacy coin. I think we all know about this coin is untraceable transaction.
several investors have used this coin for their transaction and they believed about this coin is really good privacy.
That's good , but every coin has own character.
I also heard about negative issue, this coin will be blocked at several countries, because it is feared that it will be misused for illegal transactions. I hope it's just gossip.
I think It depends on you to choose which coin to invest.

Monero's future is very bright. The popularity of cryptocurrency is constantly increasing in today's world. Cryptocurrency is becoming a much more popular currency around the world. What kind of assets are people being able to use as a means of transaction? Traditional banks have cryptocurrency transactions. So cryptocurrencies will gain popularity year after year. Believes Monero's popularity will increase. So there will be more development in the future.
