What Is really needed for crypto to go mainstream ?

Bitcoin is seen by many as digital gold, a sort of storage of value.
However, many people do not stack gold, and most would be even less ready to stock "digital gold"
For crypto to go mainstream, it needs to be used in everyday life, companies should be ready to offer real products and services in exchange of a coin ....
And that should be in significant percentage!
If in every city you have a couple grocery stores that are willing to accept a specific coin as a payment, then this would be a great step.
Unfortunetly i have zero trust that any of the crypto leaders including shitcoins like tron or bnb would try to achieve this, because unfortunetly they are not really looking for crypto adoption but most likely are looking for promoting their own coins, rather than the general interest of crypto community.

It is a good way if someone has a shop and tries to accept payment crypto coins. But it only works in a country that crypto coins are allowed to be a payment tool. Yes, you can do it in a country like Japan, USA, Singapore, or Malta. Unfortunately, you cannot do it in a country like Indonesia where I live. The government only allows Rupiah as the payment tool.

I think the first thing the crypto community needs right now is a clear and appropriate legal framework.
We all know that countries's centralized financial institutions & systems will not be willing to give up their absolute power as fiat. They will find ways to hinder the progress of cryptocurrencies under the pretext of "protecting citizens from phishing threats". Some countries have looked at & seen the benefits of blockchain technology, but are still not ready with ICOs or cryptocurrencies.
Many chain stores have accepted BTC, LTC or XRP, we have also seen many Bitcoin ATMs in many countries, but BTC has not yet had a worthy position in the economy. I think the second step in crypto adoption is to focus on stablecoins or CDBC. Perhaps they are the easiest way for cryptocurrencies to reach out to the community.

Sympathize with you, in Vietnam we only own & store Bitcoin. The acts of buying, selling and paying in BTC are illegal, the legal currency is only VND, in some cases: USD and CNY.
