Following many campaigns on different projects always reaps benefits or losses, here patience and experience will pay off.
Sometimes getting tokens or dead coins that are not listed on the exchange will make us happy because we think ~ maybe in the next day the project developers will do baybacks or do new things to make the project better and attractive to investors.
I have been following bounties and new crypto projects for years, so now I can choose, whether the bounty program will benefit our contribution or not by choosing a good manager and bounty program.

Yeah as a member of both bitcointalk forum i have also participate in some campaign there that have not paid yet and we don't know when they are going to pay, my recent campaign on bitcointalk was Emporium project and it turned out to be a scam, others like dfinance, Akoin are on pending mode, no assurance of getting payment, it does put your mode down when bounties keep disappointing all the time.

In the past, I felt hopeless when many projects I participated in failed and were scams. I tried that to create a valuable experience and make me understand better how to participate in a better bounty program. Time will answer and be patient to enjoy bounty work

Not getting paid, it is the risk of bounty hunters. But if you know of the many bounty projects there will definitely be 1 or 2 good ones that have bright futures and will make you happy. The most important thing is don't give up and keep trying to keep up with all existing bounty projects. Because we don't know which bounties are good and which are bad
