In my opinion Technology is different from Bitcoin. Technology gives meaning to btc in order to process transactions faster and secure. Bitcoin is currency and couldn't be a technology. Bitcoin will not end the era of technology because btc needs technology to become more popular.

No, the new technology won't replace old all old technology. For the example Bitcoin and Blockchain, they don't want to replace the technology and the investment asset like Gold or Forex. I think new technology just add something new in our life. It is not bad news but very positive news.
