How Ironic but sometimes it happens, but it depends on the situation because most of the crypto inclined people already know about Bitcoin thats why IMO, I presume that only noobs are the ones who keep promoting and buying Dogecoin. by the way, it is a personal choice so be it.

is there a survey that will be backing up this claim? I am not so sure but people who are into cryptocurrency industry are surely knowing more of Bitcoin than Dogecoin. Bitcoin remains the King of Crypto and will surely be staying in that position for some years to come while those coins or tokens claiming that they are better than Bitcoin will usually suffer more dumps soon. Bitcoin has the resiliency that other coins got less. I am not against Dogecoin though because in this industry we are one and the same there is no need to belittle one and exult the other.

In my opinion, people are of course more familiar with Bitcoin than Dogecoin. Because Bitcoin is the main coin in Cryptocurrency, and that is what people are looking for the most.

Bitcoin is famous since 2013 and especially noticed in 2017 & 2020, and Dogecoin is just a meme-coin for entertainment purposes. Many of my friends know only crypto is Bitcoin.

are you sure by looking at surveys from several media sources? I'm not sure it happened because some people know Bitcoin, without Bitcoin we wouldn't see Dogecoin. maybe because Dogecoin has a lot of community members in the digital world and gamers who reward other participants, therefore some people know doge better than Bitcoin

Most of them are new to crypto but I'm sure in a short time, they will easily get to know Bitcoin or maybe they purposely buy Dogecoin because their financial capabilities are only limited and they want to make a profit when someone famous tweets this Dogecoin.
