Yea, many of us may be wondering why there coins/token pump and dump in the market. Now, concern is that it has great effect on prices of coins but in my opinion, i think there may be few benefits that may arise from the scheme. For instance, the pump and dump process creates buying patterns whereby as the price goes up and down each time a player buys thereby buying up on the cheap coins, while panic player sell with fear of dumps. No doubt P&D schemes create trading volume, but they are harmfull in every possible way, these are one of the reasons why crypto is such a wild west and is loosing investor trust and will take long for the next bull run....
A lot of people loose hard earned money on these schemes, while scammers get away with it, killing a project ... not good at all...

Pumps and dumps happen in every market not just crypto. The only difference is that they have a more sophisticated approach.

Here are the benefits that I see:

Pros: Quick profits from riding the pump and probably ending up with larger bags from buying back during the dump.
Newbies: Hard lessons from losses they incurred from buying a pumped coin or token out of FOMO.

Yes, it is a market game. I you manage to find out the pump and dump stages early, you can have a nice profit. You buy low, when pump starts, and you sell high, when dump starts. The scheme, keeps the markets alive.

Personally as a trader I don't see any benefit in participating in pumping because most of the time it can cause big blow to your account. Yes I agree that during pump and dump trading volume increase of specific coin but I use to avoid such coins that huge pump and dump. I believe on those coins who rise gradually because of their strength. Pumping and dumping make huge negative impact on investors mind.

We will get a lot of losses when we follow the pump and dump group. Because it is certain that we will be late to make purchases in a split second that can make us lose. When we enter the price is above and will be sold directly by the admin and members of the group. So it's better not to join the group when trading, too much risk we get.

Pumps and dumps are not just exclusive to shit coins. Even good coins or tokens gets to experience the same. If ever the good coin you are holding gets pumped, you take advantage of that and reap all the benefits especially when you are a trader.

I agree with you on trading volume increasing from pump and dump scheme. Nevertheless, I don't like participating in pump and dump schemes, it is very risky and to me its just like gambling.... You can lose everything within a short time. I prefer projects that rise gradually.

I consider Pump and dump is a un-moral thing and, to be honest, I think of it as a semi-scam it is another form of Ponzi if you are at the end of the train you will usually be the one losing your money you just have to act fast in buying and stelling and that is not trading, anyone joining pump and dump groups and consider himself a trader he is delusional.

Yes,  I think there is benefit on pump and dump scheme.  You can do day trading and get profits from them.  It is good  way to do beside to. hold  for long term.
