If you found some people only wish to rank up, you can send them warning and punishment if they keep repeating.
I think the problem is not in our rules, but in the punishment system.

Applying karma to achieve ranks without providing proper rules will cause massive karma abuses. We have already had many cases about this.

Mine is not a question but a word of praise. This is a very good step in the development of this forum. Keep adding more Tobit as you have said. I really like the system but please as I do say, let's not forget the reason why most people are here.
This is altcoinstalk and not bitcointalk so bounty managers can not put pressure on the administrative board of this forum. Please relax and let altcoinstalk be altcoinstalk. We are not any other forum, let that be in mind. If the really want to advertise here, they should follow what is here.

I remember your suggestion before to change the ranking system and admin finally made the necessary change.

On bounty, I believe the admin made the right call of listening to the request of bounty teams. With the change, we expect more users to really engage and contribute to discussions, read other comments and not just post some random words.

Most importantly, do not anything similar to merit.  Merit is a dead-end branch of a similar forum. Merit - their very big mistake.

The merit system on the bbt forum virtually halted the movement in ranks. She secured a privileged position on the forum for some and lack of rights for others. Changes in this forum are necessary, however, the participants must have a prospect for growth by rank, even if it is difficult.

the new ranking system is conceived in a very rational way,
the new requirements are pretty logical and within reach
if we do not make our ranks valuable, bounties will continue ignoring our members

It's okay you make it harder to rank up but I think at least you should make everything more clear.

Requirements:
The requirements will be changing,
- Post count will be increasing for all ranks, thus you might experience a rank drop if you fall under the new post count requirement.
- Registration date: the older your account is, the easier it will be to rank up, and to reach higher ranks, this will be made harder in the future.
- Forum activity: For certain ranks, we are taking in consideration forum activity, to avoid letting users create farm accounts to rank.
- KYC verification: It has a positive aspect on ranking up.
- Karma : It is required for certain ranks, in the future will be rendered more difficult.

I have a feeling that you're trying to satisfy bounty managers but those bounty managers can change their signature campaign reward if they find forum's rankings are not worth it.

You have said it clearly and this is my experience.

I have a friend and he became a Community Manager at forum X, and I was told to move there, and he said there would be 3 Bounties ready to launch, the MPV platform was already running.

I hope that I'm still on the Altcoinstalks Forum because I think Altcoinstalks is more comfortable than other Forums.

Does the bolded words sound familiar to you? I saw it everyday on forum X: "make contribution and you'll get merit", "forget about merit and contribite, merit will come"...

Clearly a lot of members come here because of it's easier to rank up than forum X. Do you think this is fair to ranked up member? Of course you don't cause you're not demoted like other heroes & legendaries on that forum.

I hope that I'm still on the Altcoinstalks Forum because I think Altcoinstalks is more comfortable than other Forums.

1. I was demoted from Legendary just like most of us here.
2. The ranking may have been more strict now but it is still easier than Bitcointalk especially when it comes to getting +Karma. The parameters set by admin to rank up is way more achievable than the merit system implemented by Bitcointalk.
3. The way you are complaining about "contributions", it looks like you do not have the patience and do not have the passion to engage in discussions. Perhaps you are not suited to join forums.

So that's why my rank goes down but it does not matter to me. As long as I can interact with the forum and the post count requirement for specific rank is unknown which is exciting. I think it is a Good Update.

Alright guys, One question already answered.

For Legendary rank - you will need 1,200 post count. For the other parameters, only admin can shed light to that. 


My guess for other ranks:
Hero - atleast 700 posts
Sr. Member - atleast 200 posts
