Should Bitcoin be an investment or store of value?

What do you think about the idea that Bitcoin would be more suitable for the role of a low-risk investment or a store of value for the owner? Is this contrary to Satoshi Nakamoto's expectations of Bitcoin? And can Bitcoin trust its mission to be transferred to altcoins?

For me I would say bitcoin should be an investment not store of value, because it's price is volatile and the volatility in price makes it beneficial when it's used as an investment which is buy low and sell high, but if it's used as store value then the value is at risk because the price isn't stable it might fall down and this will lead to loose of value.

As for me, it is both an investment and store of value. Now, which side is getting prominence can be dependent on each individual and his view of mind. Bitcoin can be a good investment and can be a store of value, notwithstanding its volatility. Well, in my opinion, the reason why people keep on talking these two important features of bitcoin is because maybe we wanted to be sure that Bitcoin really lives up to whatever we wanted it to be. With the vision of Satoshi Nakamoto, we have to remember that there is nothing in this world that will really stick strictly to the way it should be because once a certain entity or a thing is tested in the real world that can be where idealism meets realities.

I will take it that BTC is both an investment instrument and a store of value. In anyway its been looked at, BTC has a lot of advantages both as an investment and a store of value for the global community.

From my understanding, Bitcoin is both depending on how you view it. It could be a store of value should you intend to leave your holdings in Bitcoin by converting all assets to bitcoin. It could also become an investment should you decide to either trade bitcoin for profits or just holding it with the hope that it appreciates in value. So, for whatsoever you need it to be, it depends on you completely.

Bitcoin has a very fluctuating price, I think this is an advantage for everyone who wants to invest in Bitcoin.  Because we can buy Bitcoin when the price goes down and hold it until the price goes up and then sell it. bitcoin is very useful for investment because its value and the very active price is not appropriate as a huge storage of money because if the price drops drastically the bitcoin that is owned will also decrease its selling value, therefore bitcoin investment is not suitable for investors who want to need fast money no stable value, therefore, bitcoin is the right investment place.

I tend to agree that Bitcoin is a temporary investment rather than a store of value, because of the many factors that influence it, maybe in the future if the price of bitcoin can be stable, people will buy bitcoin by itself for investment.
